Running off of the well-received trailer for the newest Standard Fare Identity, Cinq East Hong Lu’s basic effects have been revealed. We won’t know the exact numbers until the release this Wednesday, but we can get a general idea of how he’ll function.
Additionally, we’ve gotten the newest Target Extraction and the rewards for the Lei Heng Reflectrial “Chachichu” revealed. That’s plenty to cover, so let me walk you through it all step by step!
Cinq East Hong Lu Effects Revealed
Cinq East Hong Lu is, as expected, a Standard Fare Identity with a very simple-to-pilot kit. Cinq East Hong Lu rewards you for dueling a single opponent with bonus damage, effect application, and self Poise buffs if you do.
Contrary to my theory of Cinq East Hong Lu having a series of enhanced variants of his Skills, the actual kit reveal explains that each Skill has a Coin Reuse effect tied to Hong Lu’s Nerve Strike debuff. As long as the enemy has this debuff when Hong Lu attacks, his Skills will hit harder, inflict bonus Burn, and strike again.
As I suspected, this forces Cinq East Hong Lu to rely heavily on his Nerve Strike effect, giving him one turn of setup before he really starts beating down an enemy. This makes him great in extended battles against a single target, but much weaker in moshpit encounters.
Cinq East Hong Lu also introduces a new mechanic to the Cinq Association as a whole, the passive Witnessed. Specified as Witnessed – Cinq East, this effect activates when Cinq East Hong Lu enters the battle for the first time, granting him bonus Offensive Level based on the number of Cinq Identities in backup, as well as amping his Poise Count and Potency gains from his Base Skills at certain levels.
Importantly, this effect doesn’t specify Cinq East IDs, so any Cinq Associated Identity will grant the buff. This effect incentivizes running your backup line with as many Cinq as possible, potentially amping Hong Lu’s damage and Clash potential exponentially. We’ll have to see the exact numbers on Wednesday, but it’s a very fun team-building challenge!
Lei Heng Reflectrial ‘Chachichu’ and Daily Login Rewards

Alongside Cinq East Hong Lu, this Wednesday’s update will introduce a second permanent Reflectrial, serving as a rematch against the Middle Capo Lei Heng. With this new battle comes a fresh set of standard rewards, including enough currency for 2 cosmetic Facades, an Uptie 4 Module, and plenty of XP Tickets. Completing it for the first time will also grant exclusive profile customizations seen above.
Once the patch is complete, we’ll also start a new daily login initiative. While we don’t know the daily rewards quite yet, the final tier grants a Nominable Announcer Ticket [Yisang Exchange], exchangeable for one of a select series of announcers from across Limbus’s seasons. Clearing the normal mode version of Reflectrial Chachichu before the daily login event ends will also drop a Nominable Announcer Ticket [Yisang Exchange].
Nabbing the rewards is as simple as logging into the game, so don’t miss out on easy extra leveling materials or Extraction Tickets!
Faust Target Extraction

As a bonus banner alongside Cinq East Hong Lu, Faust will be the subject of our latest Target Extraction. While Target Extractions are always a bit mid, Faust has so many incredibly meta offerings that it’s worth a few pulls if you’re new or have been unlucky with getting her EGO Shards.
As with every Target Extraction, Faust IDs and EGOs are far more likely to drop, with a few select offerings even more likely. Of note are her Everlasting EGO, incredibly important in every version of Tremor; the Thoracalgia EGO for speeding up Poise teams; the Ring Apprentice Faust for her phenomenal Bleed and Charge support; and the return of Mao Adept, one of the strongest IDs in the game.
Faust is especially loved when it comes to team-defining effectiveness, so don’t slack on a chance to nab some of her most powerful offerings if you’re missing out.
Make sure to come back once the patch drops for the Cinq East Hong Lu entry in our ID Kit and Team Guide series, and catch up on some of the powerful EGO drops of the last patch if you missed out.
