Happy every other Tuesday, folks- time for another Limbus Company content tease! This time, we’ve got a new Move-in Reg Gregor EGO to theorize about, alongside a few old EGOs getting the Uptie 5 treatment.
Gregor’s last drop was his Dawn Office Fixer Identity, solidifying his spot as a Burn mainstay. Knowing what we do both about Move-In Reg from Heathcliff’s EGO, plus the mechanics and effects of the Abnormality kqe-1j-23, Burn and Envy are on the menu.
Allow me to go over each new drop we’ve gotten, using what we know to guess if each will be properly worth the investment, be that through pulls, Shards, or Uptie 5.
Move-in Reg Gregor EGO

The main new drop coming in the next patch is Move-In Reg Gregor, which is actually rather exciting. Knowing what we do about this Abnormality, this EGO is sure to not only be Burn/Charge, hopefully leaning a bit more towards Charge, but it’s also an Envy skill.
Now, if you’re new to Limbus you may wonder why that matters, after all, Gregor doesn’t have a Middle Identity to slot into the Envy Resonance team, right? On the contrary, while Gregor doesn’t have a bespoke Envy ID, he’s got his LCE Lamp Identity, a perfect addition to the team.
Since he’s already best in slot for the team when it needs a seventh member, giving him an Envy EGO so he can add to the chain himself is phenomenal. Additionally, Heathcliff’s version inflict Resident Reg. Microchip, a special debuff that amplifies all damage from Wrath and Envy Skills. If Gregor’s shares this effect, he’ll be a great damage boost for both Burn and Envy Res.
While it might not be the most initially exciting drop, this EGO further solidifies both Burn and Envy, easily two of the strongest teams in Limbus, no matter the content.
New Uptie 5s, 9:2 Faust and Soda Ryoshu

Our other news focuses on two old EGOs who haven’t been in the spotlight for years, if ever. 9:2, Faust’s Lust Burn EGO based on the Skin Prophet, and, of all things, Ryoshu’s Soda EGO. Soda is an especially surprising pick, only because the EGO has never really been anything more than a joke.
While other EGOs that have received Uptie 5, including 9:2, were simply weak or powercrept, Soda has always been notorisously awful. 6 Sinking Potency on a single Coin, a meager EGO Resource on-kill effect, and a half decent passive were all it had to it’s name.
The previous Uptie 5s have given seriously huge boosts to their targeted EGOs, and I suspect Soda’s will hone in on it’s effectiveness as a Sinking enabler. Ryoshu has a phenomenal Sinking ID with no EGO to support it, and an actually usable Soda would be a nice boost to Faint Aroma Ryoshu.

Moving back to 9:2 Faust, it’s always been a bit of an awkward spot, specifically enabling Lust Burn skills. Especially recently, Burn has honed in on Wrath as its main Sin Affinity, with a bit of a reach into Sloth thanks to Tremor Scorch. I expect 9:2’s Uptie 5 to change its effects to enable Burn skills of all kinds, giving Dawn Office Faust a great boost. If its ability to trade Burn for Defensive debuffs is expanded upon, it could serve as a great opener for big turns.
Excited for the new EGOs? They could be exactly what you need to really click with a team, or push your current lineup over the edge into real effectiveness. Burn has been getting plenty of love recently, check out my review of the most recent Hong Lu ID!
