The bosses of Romeo is a Dead Man are a gory, varied sort. They all have elaborate backstories, outlandish designs, and even more outlandish deaths. Revisiting them is the main allure of New Game +, but you can do so in a regular playthrough thanks to SilverSox.
Talk to him at his quarters in The Last Night, and SilverSox will have a set of trials for you. The final trial is the Boss Rush, where you’ll have to defeat all of the game’s bosses in the allotted time (30’ for the Normal trial, 25’ for the Hard one); and keep adding Badges to your collection.
The Boss Rush will be the main focus of this guide, since it involves strategies for all other bosses.
Best Boss Rush Build

| Slot | Item | Description |
| Melee Weapon | Juggernaut | Steel fists that hit quickly |
| Ranged Weapon | Nebuchadnezzar | Machine gun that fires bursts |
| Badge 1 | Bastardization | Reduces Bastard cooldown time by 30% |
| Badge 2 | Hilltop Castle | Increases attack by 20% during Bastard cooldown |
| Badge 3 | Galán Esmeralda | Increases attack by 100% and constantly reduces Flowsion |
| Bastards | FrostBolt | Freeze an enemy |
Speed is all that matters for the SilverSox Trials, meaning that you don’t only need damage, but for the boss to stay still for you to deal it. This is why I have four FrostBolt Bastards equipped, and badges that interact with them.
I also have a fully maxed-out Juggernaut and all three Bloody Summer upgrades. All bosses will follow a similar formula: freeze them, do the full heavy attack combo, and once they defrost use all your charges of Bloody Summer. Rinse and repeat.
The Nebuchadnezzar is there for hitting the weak spot flowers and other boss-specific counters. I didn’t use any consumables, but attack-raising curry could help you if fights take you too long.
Everyday Is Like Monday

While a total pushover, you don’t want to spend more time with Romeo is a Dead Man’s first boss than you have to. Quickly hit the first weak spot to drop the boss on its knee, then rush it down. If it tries to get up, freeze it; you don’t want it running around the arena and eating up your time.
You can start the fight by freezing the boss, making it easier to hit the weak spot, but cooldowns are shared across the Boss Rush, so it’s better to only use the FrostBolt if you have to. Similarly, save all Bloody Summers for the other bosses.
Enhanced Phantasm

This boss might not be all that dangerous, but it can eat a lot of time, even more so than the previous one. This is due to its ability to electrify the arena, forcing you to go upstairs and rely on ranged attacks, since its hitbox is very unreliable while you’re up there.
The plan is then to skip that phase. Start by freezing the boss, then hit both its weak spots: one on the side of the head and the other on the back. Hit the one on the side first, since it is the hardest one to hit normally.
Then, just rush it with all you have, using FrostBolt whenever the boss defrosts. If you take it down to 25% health, just tank the damage and finish it up with Bloody Summer; you’ll heal whatever damage it dealt and be ready for the next boss.
Death Changeling

This muscular shapeshifter has a lot of tricks to stop you on your tracks, but they appear when the boss is at about half health. Before then, it mostly goes for melee attacks and grabs, all of which are easily dodgeable.
This is why you could spend all your resources on Enhanced Phantasm; Death Changeling gives you time to recover blood and cooldowns. When it is at half health, though, it is time to freeze and rush it; this is true for both the Boss Rush version and its individual SilverSox Trial.
What you’re trying to avoid is the boss entering its ball form or hitting you with glitches. With it being nearly invulnerable as a spiked ball and you being useless with glitches and viruses, the fight can start to drag fast. So just don’t let it do that.
Fused Reanimated

With the freeze method, this fight is one of the fastest in Romeo is a Dead Man. Start by freezing it in place and hit both its front weak spots. It also has one on its back if you want to go for it. Then, just attack and use Bloody Summer to stun it out of making any attacks.
If the boss escapes to the ceiling, you can freeze it to stop the attack, but it won’t fall down until defrosted. So it’s better to just wait to fall down, since the attacks it can do from up there can be dodged by standing still.
All other attacks are self-explanatory, except when it starts spinning in place. At least in my experience, the projectiles it was shooting while spinning were too small to see, making me take damage from an unknown source. What’s actually happening is that you have to jump the lower projectiles, while staying low for the high ones.
Enhanced Magrus

Magrus moves all around the place, so the main annoyance of the fight is catching up with the guy. Beyond that, all of his attacks are simple to dodge, even if they deal a lot of damage. Whenever he is charging one of the big ones, you can freeze him to skip it altogether.
Locking-on to Enhanced Magrus isn’t advised, though, since for some reason Romeo focuses on its tiny crotch. Particularly when you freeze him, it is best to keep lock-on off and hit on the bigger areas of his body. He does have weak spots, one below and one above his body. If you freeze him in certain positions, you can hit them, although it’s best not to focus on that.
Death Changeling Parabellum

FrostBolt is still the name of the game, but keep one of your Bastards ready for the darkness phase. That way, once the stage goes dark, you can freeze the boss, not only knowing where it is but letting you deal a lot of free damage.
When the Death Changeling Parabellum teleports to the middle of the arena and starts making damage areas appear, you should go to the edge of the stage. You’ll have an easier time avoiding all the damage, and since it is invulnerable there isn’t much else you can do.
First Of The Famous Intergalactic Naked

Time for the final challenge of Romeo is a Dead Man. Similar to the previous fight, you should always keep one FrostBolt in hand for a certain attack, it being the fire zone it does when at around 25% health. Freeze the boss and you’ll completely nullify the attack, something that can easily one-shot you and make you lose all your progress.
Since freezing the boss doesn’t freeze the geometric shapes that float around it, some attacks will still happen, like the lasers that turn the arena into an impromptu platformer. Whenever the boss charges a big Spirit Bomb styled-attack, don’t waste the FrostBolt; just shoot it down with your ranged weapon.
