Lumiose City in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is home to a plethora of rare and Shiny Pokémon for Trainers to collect. If you’re lucky, you can obtain the Shiny Alpha versions of Pokémon either in Wild Zones or around the map. In this guide, we’ll take a look at how you can obtain Shiny Alpha Mega Dragonite, which is evolved from Dratini.
Best Location to Obtain Shiny Alpha Dratini

The best location to get a Shiny Alpha Dratini in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the spawn above Café Trist in Magenta Sector 8 during daytime. Fast travel to the Magenta Pokémon Center located to the northwestern part of Lumiose City, then head towards the holo-lift to reach the roofs.

Once you’re at the top, turn right and use the bridge to follow the rooftops in front. From the bridge, take a left and use your Roto-Glide to get across to the next rooftop. From there, go straight ahead, and climb up the ladder to find a rooftop with some chairs and shade, and a grass patch in the middle.

In that area, you’ll find the Shiny Alpha Dratini during daytime. However, since the chances of spawning a Shiny Alpha Pokémon is incredibly low, you need to turn left after climbing the ladder, then create a web bridge to the next rooftop which contains a Bench. You need to spam rest on the Bench, which will force all Pokémon to respawn, increasing your chances to obtain a Shiny Alpha Dratini in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Keep spamming rest on the Bench, and check whether you’ve successfully spawned a Shiny Alpha Dratini or not. Remember, this Pokémon will spawn only during daytime. Once you’ve successfully spawned Dratini, the next step is to level up and evolve.
Evolving Dratini Into Mega Dragonite

To evolve Dratini into Mega Dragonite, evolve it into Dragonaire at Level 30, then Dragonite at Level 55, and finally into Mega Dragonite using the Dragonite Mega Stone. You can get the Dragoninite Mega Stone by defeating Rogue Mega Dragonite during Mission 32.

Once you’ve obtained the Dragoninite Mega Stone, head to your Satchel and give the Mega Stone to your Dragonite to trigger the Mega Evolution during battle. This transformations gives Shiny Alpha Mega Dragonite a new makeover, with a pearl on its head and tail, and its color turning to blue from yellow.
