Wild Zones in Pokémon Legends Z-A are designated areas in the map of Lumiose City, where you can hunt for new Pokémon. Since the game takes place in a urban city, you might not encounter the usual random Pokémon spawns in the bush. The Wild Zones are the game’s way of letting you hunt for Pokémon in-game.
You can reset these zones to feature new Pokémon, and the methods below will show you exactly how to do that.
How to Respawn Pokémon Wild Zones

To refresh the Wild Zones in Pokémon Legends Z-A, leave the zone while you are exploring it, move away, and then re-enter. You will see the zone has reset itself, showing brand-new Pokémon for you to find and capture. Alternatively, if you don’t see your wild zone resetting itself after you leave and re-enter it, fast-travel to the nearest point. Once you do that, fast-travel back to the Wild Zone and enter it. It should reset the Wild Zone, letting you capture new Pokémon.
Why Should You Reset Wild Zones
A good idea to reset your wild zone is for Shiny Hunting. Shinies are an incredibly rare variant of standard Pokémon in Legends Z-A, and you can stumble upon them randomly. Shiny hunting is something players have done since the first game. So, if you want to try your luck in finding a shiny in the wild zone, you might want to keep resetting the area until you are satisfied. Check our guide here for hunting Shinies in Legends ZA.
Finally, you might want to reset your wild zone to track down a particular Pokémon that you want. Some of them may run away, and you may not be able to capture them. In such a case, resetting the Wild Zone respawns the Pokémon in the exact same place and gives you another shot at getting them.
