As you reach the end of A Complication with the Computronic Cerebrum quest in Outer Worlds 2, you get to choose which of the three U.E.N.I.A.C. personalities to fix. If you have decided to fix one of them, then you need to solve a quick puzzle here. The puzzle is simple to follow, but at first glance, it could get confusing. This guide will show you how to resolve the personality crisis in Outer Worlds 2.

Follow the colored wire from the source to the switch and pull the matching lever to deactivate the node.

After deciding which personality you wish to reinstall in U.E.N.I.A.C., a new chamber will open on the lower floor. Head inside, and you will spot a console with several switches and some wires ahead. Each wire is attached to one of the three personalities, indicated through the colored nodes. Depending on which personality you wish to go for, you need to deactivate the switch pertaining to that node.

Right after entering the room, on your left, investigate the journal to get a hint on what needs to be done here. While tinkering with the main console, if you change your mind, you could always activate the switch to push back power to the nodes. You need to keep three nodes of the same color active to complete the objective. After that, pull out the battery on the right side of the console to restart the Archive in Safe Mode. After putting it back in, the objective will be checked out, and you get to ask the U.E.N.I.A.C. to process the Rift Data.

    Which Personality to Pick

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter which personality you go for, so pick any to continue the quest. But, if you want to be sure of your choice, keep listening to the consoles as you activate and deactivate the nodes. Each time you do, you will get unique interactions from all three personalities. Also, if you had followed the quest, there would be plenty of indications on which personality you are more aligned with.

There are a few more puzzles to solve in Outer Worlds 2, so check out our guides on Save the Hostages Puzzle Solution, Otto’s Saferoom Puzzle Solution, and ‘On the Trail of the Traitor’ Switch Puzzle Guide.
