How to Get Roto-Glide in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Pokémon Legends Z-A is an open-world game where players can explore various places, and as such, the game also has different traversal mechanics. One new addition to the series is the Roto-Glide, which allows players to glide from high places. The game, however, doesn’t give access to this feature immediately. So, here’s how to get the option of using a Roto-Glide in Pokémon Legends Z-A.

You unlock the ability to glide across rooftops at the very beginning of the mission ‘A Rogue Mega Beedrill’. This is part of the main story quest and is unmissable. This one unlocks once you complete the main mission #15: A Job for Team MZ. One of the objectives of the mission will be to reach the rooftop and meet with Urbain, who teaches you how to Roto-Glide in-game.

Once you’ve talked with Urbain, the game will let you Roto-Glide at any point in time without any problems. Roto-Glide in Pokémon Legends Z-A lets you cross previously inaccessible gaps between two buildings. Though we should point out that Roto-Glide is more of a double-jump, rather than an actual glide. However, this should help you progress on areas like Mable’s Research Rewards.

Once you’ve unlocked the Roto-Glide in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you can use the Roto-Glide when trying to cross a gap between two buildings. Go up to any rooftop in the game, and jump from the roof. Once you do, press and hold A for your trainer character to perform Roto-Glide, where your character will pull out the Rotom Phone and use the safe landing mode to glide and cross gaps.

So, if you follow our early game guide and want to pick up the various items scattered around the rooftop, you can use the Roto-Glide to traverse and cross the rooftop without any problem.
