Hollow Knight: Silksong is a journey to become better, stronger and more powerful in the Kingdom of Pharloom. The Vesticrest is a Crest that will strengthen Hornet by unlocking permanent slots to equip more Tools, including the Compass, without worrying about running out of Slots like how it is with the normal Crests. Here’s how you can unlock the Vesticrest and use it in the game.
How to Unlock the Vesticrest
To unlock the Vesticrest in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you need to unlock at least three Memory Lockets and four Crests, then talk to Eva, located in the lower eastern section of Weavenest Atla. Start at the Bench inside the Bone Bottom, then head left and drop down to Moss Grotto. Once you’ve dropped down, head right and use your Drifter’s Cloak ability to head to the far right of the area.
At the far right, you’ll find the entrance to Weavenest Atla. Here, use the Needolin skill, acquired by defeating The Widow, to enter the area. Once you’re inside Weavenest Atla, keep heading right and reach the end of the rooms to find the cores that will power up the teleporter.
Once you’ve done that, backtrack to the second room with the teleporter. Enter it to travel downwards to the next area. The teleporter will look like the image shown above. Use it to travel downwards and progress to the next area.
In the next area, keep heading right, drop down to the floor below and continue forward. Break the wall on the right to reach the area with Eva. You must interact with her after unlocking at least four Memory Lockets and three Crests before you can obtain the Vesticrest. After you’ve met the requirements, talk to her and she’ll reward you with the Vesticrest.
How to Use the Vesticrest
The Vesticrest can be equipped just like any other Crests in Hollow Knight: Silksong, but it will allow you to store more Utility and Support Tools with the permanent Slots offered by it. When you obtain this Crest, you’ll unlock the Yellow Slot. To unlock the Blue Slot and expand the Vesicrest, which will make you even more powerful by equipping more Tools, you need to unlock six or more Memory Lockets and at least five Crests.
Regardless of the initial or expanded Vesticrest, you’ll be more powerful in your journey through the Kingdom of Pharloom and take on enemies as well as bosses more easily.
