There are 7 Crests to locate while playing Hollow Knight: Silksong, and one of the last crests to obtain is the Shaman crest. Since this is a late-game crest, you need to unlock certain levels and use unique abilities to get to this point. This guide will explain how to get the Shaman Crest in Silksong.
How to Get the Shaman Crest in Silksong
The Shaman Crest is located at Moss Grotto, within the Snail Shaman’s Shrine. Before you get to this location, you need to unlock Act 3: Abyss and collect the Silk Soar ability. After that, make your way to the upper western section of Moss Grotto, towards Ruined Chapel. Enter the Chapel and go east till you reach a dead end.
If you look above, you will spot an opening. This is where the Silk Soar ability comes in. Super jump up there and go east, then follow the path downwards. Once you reach the very bottom of the level, you will spot a decaying snail shell. Bind with the shell to collect the Shaman Crest.
The Shaman Crest is unique and different from its counterparts. With this crest, you unlock 3 Silk Skill slots, and upgrading it with Memory Lockets will unlock 2 Blue Slots. This empowers your Needle to utilize Silk Skills more efficiently.
This makes the Shaman Crest a pretty powerful option for a defense based build, that focuses on using Silk skills often. This has great syngergy with tools like a Volt Filament, which makes your Silk skills that much more lethal by adding an electric charge to it. Another great option here is the Weavelight, which increases rate of Silk regeneration, thus further allowing you to spam Silk skills.
