Crest of the Wanderer Prerequisites in Hollow Knight Silksong
Before we begin to locate the Crest of the Wanderer, you need to complete Mosshome, The Marrow, and the Deep Docks areas. Once you complete your exploration, you would have defeated the Bell Beast at The Marrow and unlocked Silkspear Skill and Sprint Step abilities.
Besides the above, you also need to farm 500 Rosaries. If you don’t have enough and wish to farm them, head over to the border between Mosshome and The Marrow. Rest on the bench here and go left to find several smaller enemies. Defeat them, then rest on the bench again to reset the level. Rinse and repeat to farm all 500 Rosaries.
Steps to Get the Crest of the Wanderer
- Now that you are all prepared, head over to Bone Bottom and go to the right towards the entrance to Bellways. Speak to a bug named Pebb and purchase the Simple Key for 500 Rosaries.
- Next, since you have cleared Mosshome, you should have the elevator unlocked. Take it up, and after reaching the top, jump on top of the elevator and head to the levels above.
- If you don’t have the elevator unlocked, head back to the Rosary farming spot mentioned above. From there, keep going left and use the Sprint ability to cross over to the left side.
- Once you reach the left side of Mosshome, you will spot several cages dangling in the area. Use them to cross over to the left side.
Wormways and Chapel of the Wanderer
- Keep going left past the Craggler’s arena till you reach a locked door, use the Simple Key to get to Wormways.
- Continue down the tunnels till you exit Wormways, then jump down even further.
- Once you hit the water below, go right first to unlock the bench, then go left to find the Chapel of the Wanderer.
- Continue to go down till you find an enemy arena on the left. Once they are defeated, go left and drop down, then enter the room on the right to find a dead bug corpse.
- Bind yourself to the corpse to get the Crest of the Wanderer.
The Crest of the Wanderer offers one red slot and two yellow slots, which is different from the Hunter crest in Hollow Knight Silksong. If you upgrade it using Memory Lockets, then you unlock 3 yellow, 2 blue, and 1 red slots. Using this crest allows you to use your Needle attacks faster, but at the cost of shorter reach.
