Mistfall Hunter – Best Shadowstrix Build

The Shadowstrix is Mistfall Hunter’s resident Rogue, a sneaky, stabby, dark-cloaked bundle of blades that comes with massive burst. They come with two variants of shanking sticks, and a variety of abilities that can see easy use no matter your main weapon and overall goal with the build.

To solve the issue of effectiveness with all their useful skills, I’ll be showing off the best Shadowstrix build I’ve managed to put together through my time in Mistfall Hunter, going over their best Affixes, Skills, and Talents.

    Dagger Vs Dual Swords

Both of the Shadowstrix’s weapons rely on up-close combat to be effective, and while both have their uses in all play, each is clearly superior at handling different types of foes. Let me go over the differences between the two options.

    DaggerDual Swords
Minimal range, stabs need to be aimedDecent range, myriad of sweeping slashes
Mixup intensive, combo can be canceled freely with Shadow Wheel Slash and followed up for a period of timeBasic swings are straightforward. Has a variety of baked-in movement options.
On-demand stealth for ambushes and escapes. Lingers when weapon swappedUtility comes from mobility and overwhelming offense.
Skills focus on quick movement and minimizing enemy mobilityLong-range mobility, damaging Skills
Thrives against foes with big damage windowsThrives in hit-and-run tactics

The Dagger is where we’ll focus on PvE efforts, while the Dual Swords have amazing strings and mixups for PvP. Either way, you should be using both of your weapons in Mistfall Hunter for their bespoke tools, a quirk Shadowstrix utilizes beautifully.

For Player vs Player engagements, no one can open a fight like the Shadowstrix. Their Stealth lets then approach easily, their dashes make them impossible to pin down, and their overwhelming offense means all but perfect play will get bowled right through.

For gear, I prefer the Venomfang set of Dual Swords, paired with the Ace Assassin armor set and the Frostspeaker Pendant/Shadow Amberflux Ring.

Proper use of both your weapons is key, but the Dual Swords are generally stronger from my experience. The deceptive range and quick speed will catch many players unawares, and the myriad options make it easy to keep foes guessing. Let me give you a step by step of the best Shadowstrix PvP build.

Now, if we want to focus on bursting down monsters, the Dagger is where it’s at. Rapid attacks, easy to dodge out of strings, and Energy regen make it perfect for grinding down massive health pools. Since your form of damage mitigation is dodging, its time to stay mobile!

The best set I’ve found remains the Ace Assassin armor set, paired with the Tri-Phase Knot Pendant and Ancestral Blessing Ring for the extra HP and Gem slots. For the weapon, aim for the Serpent’s Whisper, a legendary Dagger with +40 Attack.

    Affixes

    AffixEffect

    What’s Next?

If you haven’t, consider gathering a party and heading off into the Chaos/Cataclysm mode variants of both explorable locales. They’re tough as nails and require gear of a certain cost minimum, but the loot on offer is truly next level.

Otherwise, take your time leveling and clearing out both Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde, preparing for the Mist Lords and leveling bonus characters. Mercenary is a personal favorite, but Seer has been doing wonders in both Solo and Trios!
