Seer is a class that stretches the typical class definition of a Cleric, allowing players to focus on constructing supportive pylons or battering down the opposition with crippling debuffs. Either way, in both Solo and Trios, the Seer’s myriad tools can pull the team out of the fire when things get darkest, as long as you know what you’re doing.
To that end, let’s take a look at the best Seer build in Mistfall Hunter, including the best in-slot weapon, skills, and a few example setups to get you on the right track.
Seer’s Playstyles
Seer, like every class, has two weapons they can choose between. Unlike the other classes, Seer can only effectively utilize one of these weapons in a run, selected at Camp in the Skill menu. These two Oaths are essentially different characters, so we’ll need to look at the strengths and weaknesses of both to decide which is stronger.
In my experience, both are primed to thrive in different phases of combat, with the Reverent excelling in PvP skirmishes. Meanwhile, the Blasphemer is great at taking on NPCs and bosses with its potential to stun loop and drain HP.
Let’s compare the different aspects of both Oaths before diving into why each thrives where it does.
| Reverent | Blasphemer |
| Slow-flying ranged basic attack | 2-hit melee string with limited range |
| 3 Dodges with lower HP and resistances | 4 Dodges, higher HP, and stackable magic/physical resistances |
| Reliance on destructible constructs | Spends mana on a selection of special heavy attacks |
| Easy to access shields and heals on demand | Limited sustain tied to landing attacks |
| More tactical, disjointed play is optimal. Hangs back and barrages with ranged attacks while sustaining allies and planting turrets/traps. Harder to punish in Trios. | Simple, frontline game plan that rewards reactive punishes. Can be easy to read. |
| Hard to flub spells thanks to extensive range and sheer variety of options. Construct mana refills rapidly, with damage falling off a bit in PvE content, and thrives in PvP by minimizing enemy options. | Strongest spells are high commitment, punishing if whiffed. Low Curse Mana can leaving you a sitting duck in PvP. |
Best PvP Build for Seer

As the purely ranged option, the Reverent Seer is a PvP powerhouse that really struggles to hold its own in solo play. While the pressure applied by the different Rune constructs on offer work great against other players, they struggle against NPCS and bosses with higher HP pools.
Defending allies, however, is a different story. The Seer’s laundry list of buffs and traps enable a hands off playstyle further empowered by their best-in-slot weapon, Byrnes’s Ash Urn, and the Holy Saint set. The weapon enhances the Seer’s effects across the board, while the Holy Saint set grants solid resistances and the perfect Gem slots for what I feel is necessary.
I also enjoy running the Raven War Pendant for the extra little boost to damage, same with the Eye of the Sea Giant Ring. Despite the supportive focus, plenty of Seer’s Skills scale with their attack, so any extra damage is welcome.
Affixes
Supplied by a combo of gems and Victory wine, the PvP Seer wants to maximize Chant speed, ranged firepower, and Skill cooldown more than anything. Recommended Affix levels are as follows.
| Affix | Effect |
| Seamless Lv.7 | Increases Skill cooldown by 15%, downing a Gyldhunter refreshes 30% of Skill cooldowns. |
| Ranged Lv. 7 | Increases effective range by 12%, and overall damage by 11.2% |
| Eloquence Lv. 6 | Chanting Speed +18%, Chants can’t be interrupted by minor Impact |
| Tenacious Lv 5 | Raises Max Health by +9%, increases healing received by +7.5% |
Active Skills

Even with their major focus on supporting the team, Seers still have a few options for very powerful area denial. The best battles I’ve had on Seer have revolved around minimizing safe zones for the enemy team while allowing my frontline to go wild.
While your actual damage may not be fantastic, it’s all about adding to the enemy’s mental stack, giving them too much to juggle before it all comes crashing down. Dealing with an angry Mercenary is one thing; dealing with an angry Mercenary when you’re boxed in by a Binding Rune and he has an HP-sized shield is a whole other.
| Skill | Effects |
| Punishment Rune | Summons a turret with a wide range that targets the weakest enemy in its sight, prioritizing players. Can be destroyed. |
| Binding Rune | Summons a tethering construct that binds any enemies inside to it. Bound enemies can’t jump and are immobilized. Can be destroyed |
| Shelter Rune | Summons a shielding construct that supplies the lowest HP ally with a shield. The shield’s value scales with your attack. Can be destroyed |
| Death Ward | Targeted ally gains an effect preventing their death for 5 seconds, locking their minimum HP to 1. Targeted ally also gains Super Armor. Can self target |
| Psionic Shield | Comes with 2 charges, targeted ally gains a shield scaling with Seer’s attack. |
Talents
The Talents will focus on extra Shielding, some bonus healing, and a bit more punishment on traps. I’ve managed to provide some ridiculously massive shields to allies that have turned fights. Letting the frontline just walk through the enemy’s strongest hits feels great, and you’ll need the right talents to do it.
| Talents | Effect |
| Reshape | After not taking damage for a period, your shields will recover their value over time. Scales with your Attack |
| Ebb and Flow | Charged basic attacks heal the lowest HP ally nearby, scaling with your Attack. |
| Synergy | While within the Punishment Rune range, successful basic attacks while fire a follow-up shot from the Punishment Rune. Stronger attacks lead to stronger follow-ups. |
| Rigidity | Enemies who leave the Binding Rune are stunned. |
| Quick Chant | Reduces the Chant time of Psionic Shield |
| Retribution | When Psionic Shield ends or breaks, get the cooldown refunded based on the damage blocked. |
| Shelter | When Death Ward’s Death Prevention ends, the affected ally gains a shield scaling with Seer’s Attack. A stellar coverage tool. |
| Potent Sanctuary | Increases shield strength overall, with an additional shield strength buff based on Seer’s Magic Damage. |
Best PvE Build for Seer

Over to the PvE side of the Seer, Blasphemer reigns supreme. Constant melee pressure, mountains of Super Armor, and a wide selection of debuffs keep your enemies on the ropes, especially effective on most NPCs. The Blasphemer is much more viable in solo content, but works well to batter down bosses even in Trios.
Their debuffs help them act as a berserker frontline for Trios, providing openings for the team and creating openings whenever possible. With their Zeal Basic Skill, the Seer becomes a powerhouse, with enhanced strength, defense, and a selection of either rapid Mana generation or bottomless Super Armor.
When it comes to the best Seer build for PvE, Absolution is the way to go, a legendary Mace that enhances damage and overall physical attack. The Holy Saint set is still the best call thanks to the sizable gem slots, and Raven War Pendant/Eye of the Sea Giant‘s damage boost works even better in PvE.
Affixes
| Affix | Effect |
| Strife Lv. 7 | Melee weapon damage increased by 8.4%, gaining +2% extra damage for every enemy nearby. This stacks 3 times. |
| Blessing Lv.5 | Buffs you provide last +25% longer |
| Fervor Lv. 5 | Gain a stack of Fervor when hitting an enemy, up to 5 stacks. Each stack grants +2% Physical and Magic Damage. While at 3 or more stacks, gain +2.5% Defense Penetration. |
| Tenacious Lv.5 | Raises Max Health by +9%, increases healing received by +7.5% |
| Valor Lv. 5 | Increase attack by +7.5%, and gain +1.8% Damage Penetration |
Active Skills

While the Blasphemer Seer may have fewer options, the spamability and power of their Cursed Mana heavy attacks and Zeal state give them massive DPS windows against bosses and crowds of NPCs alike.
| Skill | Effect |
| Rune: Drain | Dash forward with a single target stab, dealing damage and healing for a portion of the damage dealt. |
| Rune: Ankle Cut | Strike the ground in front of you, creating a shockwave of magic damage. Enemies directly hit by your Mace are Immobilized, while anyone caught in the blast has their movement speed lowered. |
| Rune: Stun | A personal favorite amidst the Rune heavies, leap forward before slamming down, Stunning any enemy hit. This allows for crazy CC loops on enemies, even through their Anger Attacks. |
| Paralysis Curse | Enter an aiming state, firing up to 4 lightning bolts from above. Enemies hit take magic damage and are slowed. Hitting three in quick succession stuns the target. A great opener/punish tool. |
| Impact Sigil | Summon a wall of magic that pulls enemies struck towards you. Perfect for punishing bad rolls and overly committed animations. |
Talents

For Talents, I’ve found focusing on Super Armor, Curse Mana, and overall pressure does wonders for tearing through boss HP pools. The Super Armor provided by Zeal with proper Talents lets you brute force certain openings, while looping Rune heavies for devastating damage.
| Talent | Effect |
| Ferocity | Zeal grants Super Armor during the duration, with increased Physical and Magical damage resistance |
| Relentless | Dealing damage with a Mace increases Zeal’s duration, up to 3 times. |
| Divine Power | Attacks during Zeal grant Curse Mana |
| Impact Sigil Mastery | Landing Impact Sigil grants Curse mana |
| Electrocution | Hitting three Paralysis Curse burst quickly Stuns the target |
| Battle-Fed | Killing enemies grant Curse mana |
| Bloodlust | When under half HP, Rune: Drain heals for extra HP |
| Extract | Landing Paralysis Curse grants Curse Mana |
