At some point in your adventures in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you will get access to the Gauntlet Runner. This locomotive machine will allow you and your party to travel far and long in search of ever-increasingly difficult challenges. However, covering these distances can take time so here is what you should do with your free time on the Gauntlet Runner in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

All Gauntlet Runner Free Time Activities In Metaphor: ReFantazio

When you use the Gauntlet Runner in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you and your crew will use it to travel to new locations on the map which will take more than one day to reach. But you won’t be relieved of your duty to manage time, instead, you will get a whole plethora of free time activities to do on the Gauntlet Runner while you reach your destination.

These activities can be accessed any time when you are traveling between locations in Gauntlet Runners so there is no definitive way of doing particular activities on particular days. Below is a list of all the activities possible on Gauntlet Runners so you can decide which ones will benefit you in your playthrough.

All Day & Night Activities On Gauntlet Runner

• Spend Time With Party Members: Depending on the party member you spend time with, you will get an increase to a given Royal Virtue. You can also get a dialogue option during this that will reward MAG.
• Follower Rank Up: Occasionally you will be able to do this one to increase the Rank of a follower on the Gauntlet Runner.
• Use The Toilet (Does Not Pass Time): Increase your Luck by 1 when doing this activity on a date that ends with 5.
• Check The Pantry (Does Not Pass Time): You can find two ingredients in the pantry each new day and you can use this activity to find those. They can then be used in cooking.
• Use The Washroom (Does Not Pass Time): This can be done every single day to easily gain 100 EXP.
• Go To Bed: Used to advance the time to the next day without doing an activity for the night. Also increases the odds of an attack.
• Gardening: Uses the Plant Culture Chamber to grow a plant during a single day after you plant the seeds. Planting will progress the time within the day but harvesting the plant will be instant.
• Read A Book: Will increase a given Royal Virtue. You can only obtain books by progressing the main story.
• Cooking: Use the ingredients you found in the Pantry to make healing items. While this will progress time, you can unlock Speed Cooking by progressing through Maria’s follower rewards.
• Fishing: Find ingredients for cooking by using a bait to catch fish.
• Clean The Gauntlet Runner: Interacting with the Upright Cleaning Tool in the engine room will initiate this activity which will increase the base HP of your Protagonist.
• Washing Machine: Similar to cleaning the Gauntlet, doing the laundry, and using the Washing Machine will increase the base MP of your Protagonist. Can also occasionally drop some Reeves.

All Night Only Activities On Gauntlet Runner

• Spend Time With Party Members: Same as the day version but instead you can increase two Royal Virtues instead of one.
• Bath Cask: Based on which Bath Salt you use here, doing this activity will permanently increase a given stat for the Protagonist.
