Whether you’re a new or returning player, weapon collecting will play a major role in Where Winds Meet. Since the game supplies 12 unique variants, each type of weapon is locked away at specific locations or behind quests. Here’s a complete guide to getting all 12 weapons quickly in Where Winds Meet.
All Weapon Locations in Where Winds Meet
Since there are 12 weapons in the game, you might have to do a bit of scavenging to locate them all. Luckily, some weapons are handed to you early on, like the Nameless Sword and the Nameless Spear. Also, after leveling up post level 5, you will receive the Stormbreaker Spear within your in-game mail.
Obtaining Weapons via Quests
Once you start exploring the lands and encountering NPCs, you will find a certain character stuck between some rocks. After freeing Qi Sheng, he will hand over a quest to take down a beehive. Completing that will let you choose one weapon between the Panacea Fan, Infernal Twin Blades, Thundercry Blade, or the Vernal Umbrella as your reward. Don’t worry about missing out on the other weapons, as we will detail where to get them, too.
Infiltrating Dojos and Performing Executions
Your next set of early game weapons is located within Region 1, but you need to complete some prerequisites first. You need to infiltrate certain strongholds, called Dojos, and execute the martial artists here. This will require stealth and patience to clear. If you don’t have the Veil of Stillness Mystic Arts yet, visit the above area on the map to find an NPC trying to sneak inside a stronghold. Follow the questline and defeat all the enemies, including the bosses, to learn how to perform stealth.
Obtaining Loong Keys to Unlock Dojos
Now, you need to explore the Dojo to get your new weapons, but you will require a Loong Key or Dragon Key to unlock them. There are a few ways to get the keys.
- Reaching level 15.
- Completing the quest that grants Invisibility.
- Clearing Fortresses with red icons on the map.
Once you get at least one key, visit the weapons section and select any weapon to know where to go and unlock them. This will take you to a Dojo. Use the key here, clear the area of enemies, then execute the Dojo master to find the weapon.

How to Get Region 2 Weapons
Follow the main story quest till you need to defeat the Region 1 boss and take the boat to Kaifeng. Before you leave the region, speak to the people near the port to learn the steal technique. Equip the Remote Steal skill by heading into your Mystic Arts page and selecting it. While you don’t require any keys in the new region, you still need to clear out Dojos to get the weapons. Again, select the weapon from your weapon list to know where they are located.
Soulshade Umbrella Location

DPS Umbrella Location
One of the newer weapons added is the DPS Umbrella. To find it, head southwest of Kaifeng and make your way to the roof of the house. Drop down below to find a flight of stairs leading down to the Dojo master.
Rope Dart Location
Complete Kaifeng’s main story quests till you get access to the southeast section of the city. There is an underground tunnel here where you will encounter a boatman. Get on the boat to reach the Dojo and eliminate the master here.
Mortal Rope Dart Location
For this one, you need to complete the Disguise: Veil of Love quest. To do the quest, make your way to the Fairgrounds and speak to the NPC sitting outside a Martial Arts School. To unlock disguises, head over to the eastern part of the city where the mask icon is. Speak to Wuyan in the disguise store and complete a couple of disguise missions.
Once you have leveled up enough, head back to the School and look around to find a student sitting at a table nearby. Copy his attire, then gain entry to the Dojo. Once inside, head into the kitchen to find Tiancai and receive a Token – Kaifeng Martial Hall item from him. Use the coin to enter the inner training area where the Master is. Hand over the coin, and he will give you a rope dart plus a tutorial session on how to use it.
Ninefold/Vernal Umbrella Location
To collect this umbrella, you need to find the Dojo Master at the very top of the Temporal Pavilion. If you reach the banquet room at the top without completing the quest here, you will be kicked out. To start the quest, head over to the courtyard near the bridge and speak to Wang Ping’an. He will ask you to seek out Jiang Ting’er, the woman guarding the stairs leading to the training area. She will require your help in spying on some people and gathering clues.
After getting all the clues and piecing them together, you will be automatically transported to the top of some stairs. Jump across towards where a man is drinking, then steal the key box from the shelf in the corner. Head back to the stairs and use the key to unlock the door one floor up and retrieve the Bramble Rose Hairpin for Jiang Ting’er. Return to her, and she will give you access to the training area, which unlocks the Ninefold Umbrella.
