Best Weapon to Choose From Qi Sheng in Where Winds Meet

Besides your default weapons in Where Winds Meet, you will soon encounter a choice of picking between four powerful weapons. Choosing one that works best for you can make the early game experience that much easier and fun. In this guide, we look at all options along with our recommendations on which one to pick.

Which Weapon to Pick from Qi Sheng In Where Winds Meet

I recommend getting either the Thundercry Blade or the Panacea Fan. The Thundercry Blade, paired with the Stormbreaker Spear, gives you high defense and attack power to take care of the early game bosses and advance quickly. The Panacea Fan is a great secondary weapon option that offers health regeneration. This helps during early game as you learn and become familiar with other game mechanics.

During the very early stages of the game, you will meet an NPC called Qi Sheng stuck inside a rock. After freeing him, he will ask you to do a simple task of getting rid of a beehive. Once done, you get to pick one weapon out of four, which will be a step up from your default starting weapons. You get to pick between the Panacea Fan, Infernal Twin Blades, Thundercry Blade, or the Vernal Umbrella.

Each weapon offers unique characteristics and playstyles. One thing to keep in mind is that you will obtain all these weapons later in the game for free. The Panacea Fan and the Infernal Twin Blades are available within Region 1, but you need to unlock Region 2 to get the other two weapons. This is another reason to go for the Thundercry Blade early on.

Here’s a more in-depth look at all options on offer.

    Panacea Fan

This is a healing weapon that offers very light DPS. The Panacea Fan offers HP regeneration to you and your allies, especially to the ones having low health. You can also choose which ally will receive the healing power, and the Panacea Fan will focus all its powers on them.

There are two ways to work with the Panacea Fan. The first build is to keep the fan as a secondary support while you utilize a DPS weapon as a primary. This build is great for PvP and PvE, either solo or co-op. Another build is to go for a complete support build after obtaining the Soulshade Umbrella in the second region. This build is great for co-op and PvP, but not useful in PvE and solo.

    Infernal Twin Blades

If you are looking for agility and quick attacks, then the Infernal Twin Blades will help you out. This weapon is more suited for PvP. You might find the Infernal Twin Blades not up to the mark during late-game PvE, especially in solo story mode. But the blades are easy to master, hence why it is recommended to quickly pick this up and learn it to pass through the early game levels.

Pairing this with the Rope Dart will improve your DPS and provide aggro power, which is great for a more aggressive playstyle. But any heavy-duty weapon will go well with the Infernal Twin Blades, and you will find yourself reaching out for it even during the mid and late game.

    Thundercry Blade

This is one of the two defensive weapons, with the Stormbreaker Spear being the second defensive weapon in the game. The Thundercry Blade, or the Mo Blade, is a powerful two-handed glaive that helps parry and block incoming attacks and projectiles. If you pair it with the Stormbreaker, then you get a complete tank build. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you will lack agility.

With that said, you don’t have to worry about your health while having this powerful combo. The Stormbreaker supplies a shield for defense, and the Thundercry slams down on enemies to deal immense damage. Overall, this is a pretty solid build for all stages of the game.

    Vernal Umbrella

The Vernal Umbrella offers ranged DPS, but isn’t too powerful on its own. If you prefer a versatile playstyle with ranged and melee, then this umbrella pairs well with most melee weapons in the game. Or, you could go for a complete ranged build by pairing this up with the Inkwell Fan, another ranged DPS weapon. That way, you don’t need to stay up close to fight enemies, and you get to work this build in both PvP and PvE. Plus, the umbrella and the fan synergize well to increase damage while using them both.
