Dune Awakening has a series of quests that take you to different parts of the map, right from the starting location that has the first and second trials of AQL, to the second region that you progress to for the third and fourth trials in this questline. In this guide, we have put up for you the location and walkthrough for the fourth trial of AQL that has you learning a neat ability at the very end.
Fourth Trial of AQL Location In Dune Awakening

The Fourth Trial of AQL is in the Eastern Vermillus gap, around the rocky outcrop in the central part of this region. As you approach this place, the cave will get marked as ‘The Hollow Hammer’ on the map. Reaching this place requires you to perform some proper platforming, conserving stamina and water supplies along the way.

While there are obviously multiple ways to climb and get to the top, we found that starting from the location shown in the above image works best. The way to do this is to take your time, the vertical climbing on the sides has places where you can rest to get back your stamina. Once you reach the very top, the more difficult part of the quest is done, what follows is easy and simple to complete.
Next, once you reach the entrance, keep following the lit areas, they will take you up a winding path till you finally come to the altar. As you approach the altar, you will get an action prompt to ‘Inhale the spice’. Go ahead and do exactly that.
You then enter into a hallucination with a central green glowing pedestal with a dagger. Take that, and as enemies approach you and you try to fend them off, you will eventually die. Don’t worry, that is supposed to happen as part of the quest. You then get a prompt to ‘Awaken Prescience’ at which point you start glowing all purple and one-shotting enemies.
Take the stairs to the very top, you will get a cutscene and the quest will be marked complete; with the Fifth Trial of AQL now unlocked. More importantly, you can now enter into a Prescient state after consuming Spice, and doing so gives you several buffs like higher damage, immunity to poison, and reduced cooldowns. You can also now use a third ability when in this state.
