After the training montage, Bond is off to the first field mission in a London nightclub, and our task is to talk to the person in the red dress.
As a classic Bond move, he approaches the woman with the red dress at the counter. Standing next to her, James Bond uses his famous pick-up line, ‘The Epiphillum oxypetalum only blossoms at night.’ And surprisingly, it works so well that the boyfriend behind her gets mad.
What follows is a classic nightclub brawl inside the bathroom with the boyfriend. With that part out of the way, we then have an important decision to make – whether to flirt with the blonde or turn her down in 007 First Light.
Flirt with the blonde or Turn Her Down in 007 First Light

The short answer is – it does not matter. Except for a few minor dialog options, the story plays out the same. After the encounter in the bathroom, you will be tasked with investigating Joshua Pike. In the middle of the investigation, Bond will be on a trailing mission, following the target Joshua Pike. And during the trailing sequence, we will encounter the same blonde woman that we met earlier.
She will start talking about her boyfriend, looking a bit rough compared to before. Here, we are told on the radio to get rid of her and get back on the trail of following Joshua Pike. So we are left with two options:
- Turn Her Down
- Play Along
We will cover Play Along in the first section, then we will talk about when you Turn Her Down.
Option #1 – Play Along

When you are having a conversation, she will talk about whether she should be angry or flattered by your actions toward her boyfriend. When you choose Play Along, Bond will blurt out, probably a bit of both.
After the flirtatious exchange, Bond will ask her to meet him outside. Now, carry on with the mission until you get the objective to Confront Pike’s Contact. The contact, as you might have guessed, is another woman.
Here, when you are talking to the contact, the same mysterious woman in the red dress from the bar will appear. Now you will get the option to pick between:
- Talk to Contact
- Talk to the woman in red
Since we are on the Play Along route, choose Talk to the Woman in Red. Bond will ask everyone, the contact, and the woman in the red to calm down. This makes the woman in red angry, as she will ask whether Bond prefers to be with the contact rather than her. She then leaves the scene.
Here, even if you do decide to choose Talk to the Contact, the same scene plays out with the same end result.
Option #2 – Turn Her Down

Now, instead of ‘Play Along‘, we’ll turn her down, which will make Bond reject the woman in red and get back on the trail of Joshua Pike.
Coincidentally, during the Confront Pike’s Contact objective, the same woman in the red dress appears, and the scene plays exactly the same as the previous ‘Play Along‘ option.
