Duet Night Abyss offers pets as companions to your characters. However, they don’t unlock unless you complete a certain quest. If you want a quick way to get Geniemons, keep reading. This guide details everything about Geniemons and how to obtain them in Duet Night Abyss.
How to Unlock Geniemons in Duet Night Abyss
To unlock the Geniemon system, complete the Go, Geniemons! special side quest at Icelake. Talk to Snow at the Icelake’s Sanctuary to get this quest. If Snow doesn’t give you the quest, complete The Art of Survival first. This will unlock the Go, Geniemons quest.
For the quest, help Snow find a giant pig at Lamenting Lake. You can reach it via the Windwake Pier Avian Tower or the Icelake Outskirts Avian Tower waypoints. You will spot Geniemon Hunters in the distance. Use the Helix Jump ability to cross the fragile surface and reach them. Defeat the hunters and watch the rest of the cutscene to unlock Geniemons.
Taming Geniemons

You will mainly encounter Geniemons in the wild, and once you do, toss them a couple of Yum Treats to lure them towards you. This will start a taming mini game, where you need to aim and toss the treats within the circle to successfully tame them. After taming them, you get to feed and heal your Geniemons to improve their stats and utilize their abilities more efficiently.
How to Use Geniemons

Geniemons come with special buffs that you utilize by equipping them in your armory slot. Each time you use up their skills, you need to wait for the cooldown period to end to reuse the same skill. Certain Genimeon types also come with Trait slots after ascending them, and increasing their Traits will help use them in battle. Each Geniemon comes with unique passive and active skills, and while some can be used in combat, others can be kept as pets and leech off their passive skills.
