Dragon Quest VII Reimagined – Constructing the First Red Tablet Guide

On your way out of the Tower in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, you may remember grabbing a red Tablet Fragment before fighting the Crabble-Rouser. It’s good that you did, because the next island in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is going to require the completed set.

One Red Fragment is already placed in the tablet, and you snagged one on the way out of the Tower, so only two allude your grasp. I’ll be going over exactly where to find each part of the Tablet, so you can make your way to Emberdale with no issues.

    The Third Red Fragment

First things first, return to the newly realized Ballymolloy. To get there, take the ship the Hero and Kiefer have been preparing in their spare time, hidden in the Seaside Shrine. The Seaside Shrine can be found by hugging the edge of the beach to the west of the Hero’s home.

Following the side to find the Shrine’s entrance, a cutscene will play of the party pushing a stone out of the way. Descend into the hole to find the refurbished ship, ready to set sail. Traversing the sea works just like traversing land, with the inclusion of random encounters.

Enemies can leap aboard the ship at any time, so keep the party healed and be ready for a rapid response. Ballymolloy is located to the north of Estard Island, and has the same layout as your last visit.

The Third Red Tablet Fragment can be found inside the Rainbow Mines, in the same spot as the Green Gem, but you’ll need a password to get inside. Luckily, a miner in town has the password and can be found on the second floor of the center building in Ballymolloy village.

He’ll also hand over a Green Tablet Fragment, sure to be useful later. With the password learnt, head back to the Rainbow Mines and retrace your steps, with a refreshingly shortened layout. Simply stick to the central path to find your way, where the Red Fragment is waiting.

    The Fourth Red Fragment

The fourth and final of the Red Fragments can be found in Estard Castle, held in a chamber below. To gain access, enter the castle’s bottom floor, then move to the northwest corner. You’ll find a staircase to ascend, eventually taking you to the castle’s ramparts.

Loop around to the east side of the ramparts, where a door will open to a knight at a table. Take the stairs beside him downwards to meet the Old Hermit you gave the party one of the Yellow Fragments. He’ll grant you access to the locked door in front of him, and after a short conversation, will give you a raft.

Use the raft to travel through the castle’s moat to its west side, where a small staircase resides. Move north to the backside of the castle, where a set of double doors awaits. Follow the staircases downwards to enter the Estard Castle’s Hidden Room, the holding place for Red Fragment.

With the three missing pieces in your possession, Zoom back to the Shrine of Mysteries to access the next island, Emberdale.
