    Dispatch Episode 8 Full Walkthrough

The finale of Dispatch episode 8 blows on all cylinders. Here we have dispatch missions, endings that depend on your decisions through the earlier episodes, and one hidden ending as well. We also get to witness many reunions and surprises right at the end. In my view, it is the best episode worthy of a finale that manages to balance gameplay and cutscenes. Here is our complete walkthrough of Dispatch episode 8.

    Episode 7 Recap

After learning about Chase’s fate and cutting or defending Invisigal from the Z-Team in Episode 7 of Dispatch, we are left with few members to take care of the Dispatch calls. Right at the end, Robert finds himself in a bar with Shroud on the side. After failing to give Shroud the Astral Pulse, Roberts gets beaten up but is rescued by Blonde Blazer. Right at the end, we see the entire city filled with explosions, with the Red Ring goons having infiltrated the city.

    Meet up With Blonde Blazer

The episode begins with a coffee-making scene, then cuts to Robert taking the Dispatch calls. Here we see Blonde Blazer asking Robert to stay at the SDN HQ while she handles the business outside. Here you are given three choices:

    • Go
    • Just Come Back
    • Stay

Here, choose the second option if you are in a relationship with her. It will be remembered by Blonde Blazer. The other two choices are also good choices, but they are neutral compared to the second one.

Dispatch Mission Calls in Episode 8

The meat of episode 8 lies in its sheer number of Dispatch calls. It’s going to be difficult at first, as you will only have access to Golem, Prism, and Punch Up. During the calls, we will get special notifications to help out other SDN Heroes.

    • Return to Crypto Night:
      • Send in Punch Up for this mission.
    • Evacuation Order:
      • Send in Prism. If she has over 7 or 8 Charisma, then she will get the double XP boost.
    • Capture Experiment 1067:
      • Send in Golem. If you have Prism with a Mobility stat, then it would also be a perfect alternative.
    • Bomb Threat:
      • Send in Golem and Prism or Punch Up for the task.

City Life Bar: After this call, we are introduced to the HP bar on the top-left of the screen. The HP bar represents the life of the city. If you fail to call or miss it, the bar will get reduced. The best tip is to complete the mission successfully so the city will stand against the upcoming enemy horde.

    • Locate the Tracker:
      • It’s a hacking minigame with an antivirus ball. So make sure to take your time and move your node properly. It’s one of those hacking minigames that require you to match the wavelengths.
    • Rescue Flambae:
      • Send in Golem, another great choice would be any hero with a Mobility stat.
    • Help Brainbook:
      • Here, you want any hero with an Intellect stat.
    • Shopping Spree:
      • Send in Punch Up or Golem or Flambae, we want someone with Vigor, Combat, and Mobility. Reaching Combat over 6 earns over double the XP amount.
    • Locate Coupe or Sonar and Waterboy and Phenomaman:
      • Prepare to carry out a lot of hacking minigames to unlock Coupe, Sonar, Phenomaman, and Waterboy.
    • Rescue Sonar or Coupe:
      • Send in anyone with a Mobility stat for this call.
    • S-S-S-S-Sewer bomb:
      • Any hero with an Intellect stat will be perfect for the role.
    • Rescue Phenomaman and Waterboy:
      • Send in anyone with Mobility and Vigor stat. Golem with Flambae or Coupe.

    Invisigal Joins in

If you cut off Invisigal from the team, then she will not be taking part in this Dispatch call. But if you did defend her from the Z-Team in the last episode, she will join in to help you out.

    • Help Sweettalker:
      • A perfect hero for this mission would be Sonar or Coupe, both of which will have an exclusive dialogue for this mission. An alternative would be any hero with a Charisma stat over 8.

    Phenomaman or Waterboy Joins in

If you chose Phenomaman instead of Waterboy, then Robert will ask Waterboy to join in. If you have Waterboy on your team, then Robert will ask Phenomaman to take part in the Dispatch calls.

    • Return of the Kaiju:
      • Send in any hero with a 10 stat rating in Combat and Vigor. I chose Golem with Flambae for the mission.
    • Witch Hunt:
      • The guaranteed success for this mission would be Phenomaman, as he will get an exclusive dialogue for this mission. An alternative would be someone with Charisma and Intellect.
    • Boom!:
      • Send in any hero with Mobility for this call.
    • Escape Artist:
      • Look for any hero with Mobility and Vigor. I chose Invisigal with Golem for this one.
    • The Summoning:
      • Send in any hero with Mobility, Combat, and Vigor for this call.
    • Lockdown:
      • It’s another hacking minigame, just remember the password: Left – Left – Right – Up.

Sonar or Coupe Will Begin Attacking

Now we will see Shroud’s new companion, Coupe or Sonar, attacking the city. You will see their HP on the top-right of the screen. We need to attack either Sonar or Coupe to lower the HP before the city’s HP depletes.

    • The Torrance Terrors:
      • Anyone with a Vigor level above 8 with Combat will fit perfectly for the role.
    • Attack Coupe or Sonar:
      • Send in anyone with Intellect, Vigor, or Charisma to attack Sonar or Coupe.
    • S-S-S-Sewer Bomb:
      • Send in anyone with an Intellect for this mission.
    • Eastside Gang:
      • Perfect for anyone with Combat and Vigor stats. If the hero has over 8 Vigor stats, they will get a double XP boost.
    • Help Pom Pom:
      • Choose any hero with Mobility and Vigor for this call.
    • Roadblock:
      • Perfect for anyone with Vigor and Combat stats
    • Coffee Run:
      • Send in anyone with a Mobility stat. You will not face any consequences if you fail this task. The city HP bar will not be affected by the failure of this call.
    • Attack Coupe or Sonar:
      • Again, we need to attack Sonar or Coupe; this time, send in anyone with Combat, Mobility, and Intellect for the task. A mix of Flambae, Invisigal, and Prism will be good.
    • Defeat Mister Fister:
      • Send in Punch Up or Malevola, look for the hero with Combat and Vigor for this one. This mission has restrictions on Combat, so stay below the Combat rating of 6 to complete the mission.
    • Housing Crisis:
      • Send a hero with Vigor with Waterboy.
    • Help Brickhouse:
      • Look for a hero with Vigor and Mobility for the task. A mixture of Golem and Invisigal will be perfect.
    • Defeat SmileMore:
      • Here we have a restriction on Charisma. Send in someone with a good amount of Intellect and Charisma, but make sure the Charisma bar never reaches 9 on the stat screen graph.
    • Neighborhood Watch:
      • Any hero with Vigor, Charisma, and Mobility will be perfect for this call.

Now, all heroes will not go back to SDN HQ after completing a mission; all of them will stay in the city to handle more missions. This also puts their life in jeopardy, so make sure to have healing items ready if things go south.

    • Atomic Automatons:
      • Send in anyone with Mobility, Combat, Vigor for the role.
    • We Meet Again:
      • Send in a hero with Mobility and Combat for this task.
    • Entrapment:
      • Guaranteed success for this mission will come from Waterboy or Flambae. As both will get an exclusive option for this mission,/ Alternative will be some with an Intellect over 8.
    • Pursue Red Ring:
      • Send in anyone with Mobility and Vigor for the task.
    • S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb:
      • Guaranteed success for this call will come from Phenomaman and Golem. An alternative choice would be any hero with the Mobility stat.
    • Bridge Rescue:
      • Send in a hero with Vigor and Mobility stats for the mission.
    • Get to the Chopper:
      • Look for someone with Vigor, Mobility, and Intellect stats. If you reach the Combat bar to 8, you will get a double XP bonus.
    • Defeat Mindf-$#er:
      • It’s a hacking minigame, but all of your controls are reversed. So if you are used to pressing Up to move Up, now you have to press Down, and the same goes for all directional inputs. You have to use the reverse key to move and solve the puzzles in this minigame.
    • Help Equilibrium:
      • Send in a hero with Mobility such as Invisigal.

Now, Blonde Blazer will join the Dispatch calls.

    • Hospital Takeover:
      • Anyone with Vigor and Combat stat will be perfectly fit for this role. If you want to get the double XP boost for this mission, then send in anyone with a Vigor stat over 6.
    • Return of the Delivery Bots:
      • Send in any hero with Combat and Intellect stat, make sure they have the Intellect stat above 6.
    • Attack Coupe or Sonar:
      • Focus on sending anyone with Combat and Vigor for the final battle against Sonar or Coupe.

Achievement Unlocked: Protected Los Angeles: If you have a good number of successful calls for the Dispatch, you will unlock this achievement.

    Surprise Encounter with Invisigal

Then the scene will cut to Royd holding Invisigal for breaking into the Mechaman suit. Here you will need to choose between:

    • Stop Kicking Him!
    • What is going on?
    • Let go of her!

None of the decisions here carries any consequences. After picking up the Astral Pulse from Invisigal, Royd will tie her up. On the security camera, both Royd and Robert will see enemies breaking into the SDN HQ. Here you will have to make a decision:

    • Call Blonde Blazer
    • We need the Z-Team
    • Fire up my suit

None of them carries any consequences; they all lead to the same scene playing out. Royd will leave the spot, giving Robert a taser. Robert will want to know some answers from Invisigal:

    • Why didn’t you tell me?
    • You heard Royd
    • I can’t trust you

Pick the one that fits your role; none of them carry any consequences for the later episodes. The scene has Robert seeing an enemy making his way to the bathroom. Here we are given options:

    • GO IT ALONE
    • UNTIE HER

You can either take care of the bad guys alone or take Invisigal with you. If you are heading alone, you will be on the anti-Invisigal path. Here, Invisigal will call out the goon to make it difficult for Robert to take him out. If you are in a relationship with Invisigal and took her side in the last episode, then choose to untie her. When you untie her, she will help Robert take out the goon.

    Battle Against Shroud

Dispatch Episode 8 Battle Against Shroud
    Image via TheGameSlayer

Here, we will see Royd joining the fight, then Robert finally wears the Mechaman suit and takes the fight to the Shroud’s face. Here we are given choices:

    • Can we skip this part?
    • Predict me beating your as$
    • Hard to do when you’re dead

None of them will change the course of the story, but it will make the dialogue a bit more interesting. After the long battle scene, we will find ourselves dogless. Shroud has successfully captured Beef the dog and is threatening to kill him.

Here we are left with three choices:

    • Give him the Astral Pulse
    • Give him both
    • Give him the prototype

Each one will have a new scene, but the first option is the definite choice of them all. Pick the first one to move the story, but if you are interested in knowing the circumstances and animation behind all the choices, then take a look at the guide to know about them.

    Finale Choices

Dispatch Kill or Spare Shroud episode 8
    Image via TheGameSlayer

The next choice will be about killing or Sparing Shroud; there is another hidden ending.

    • Spare Shroud
    • Kill Shroud

Take a look at the guide to see both endings and the consequences behind all of the decisions. Here we also have a secret ending that only unlocks on the anti-Invisigal side.

    The End

Dispatch Chase Interview Press Episode 8
    Image via TheGameSlayer

After the Shroud is defeated, Robert will encounter Royd, leaving with three choices:

    • You’re amazing
    • Couldn’t do it without you
    • You should be a hero

The choices carry no consequences. Then the next scene has the ex-Z-Team member who turned to Shroud, Weather, Sonar, and Coupe getting arrested. Here, you are given a choice to either forgive or forget them.

    • Forgive
    • Forget

Z-Team will remember your decision. After you forgive either Sonar or Coupe, they will join the Z-Team for the photo. Then we see Invisigal on a stretcher being carried out to the ambulance. If you trusted her, then she is going to give you a kiss.

Achievement Unlock: Kissed on a Stretcher: Romancing Invisigal.

Then Robert meets up with Blonde Blazer. If you have been romancing Blonde Blazer instead of Invisigal, then you have to choose between:

    • Come after me
    • I just hope she’s okay
    • Take over the Red Ring

Choose the line that fits your role. If you have been romancing Blazer, then you will get a kiss from Blazer on the top of the car.

Achievement Unlock: Kissed on a Car: Romancing Blonde Blazer or Mandy in the game.

That’s it, now you have completed the entirety of the Dispatch game. Hope you have enjoyed the experience as we have writing and playing the game.
