Just like any other Soulslike game, Code Vein 2 has players make some pretty difficult decisions. Some examples include determining which Blood Code to choose, which partner to bring on the journey, and even decisions within side quests that determine the type of reward you receive.
One of the earlier decisions in Code Vein 2 comes after acquiring Patho ’s-Weaving Forma from the Forma Storage Tower on MagMell Island. Lou tells you to decide whether to save Noah or not from the past but doesn’t explain any consequences or rewards for your decision.
Don’t worry, we have everything you need to know about that decision in this guide. Read further to learn whether you should return to the past to save Noah or not in Code Vein 2.
Should You Save Noah in Code Vein 2?

Simply put, players should go back to the past and save Noah for a couple of reasons. First off, returning to the past to save Noah will instantly rewards you with the Battle Axe: Idris’s Conceit offensive Formae. This is a powerful Formae that deals a high amount of AoE damage.
Additionally, returning to the past to save Noah leads to a boss fight, called the Dejected Assailant, that rewards players with a ton of experience points for leveling up. Defeating this boss can grant you a nice boost in strength for the enemies that lie ahead.
Keep in mind, however, that the Dejected Assailant is very difficult and has two phases, so come prepared with your best equipment available.
Saving Noah Rewards

Upon defeating the boss, Noah will reward you with the Superbia Bloodline: Frantz Blood Code. Saving Noah also results in a chest appearing in the present at the bottom of the Forma Storage Tower containing the Shield of Stupor, as well as making Noah available as a partner in the present timeline.
This decision also unlocks the ‘Bridge to the Future’ trophy, so that’s another reason to go ahead and save Noah.
Lastly, saving Noah makes him available at MagMell, where you can trade him gifts. Trading him gifts will unlock various items and recipes to purchase from him, making him very useful for future battles.
It’s important to note that if you decide not to return to the past to save Noah, you can always change your mind later in your playthrough. The option to save him is available even after progressing further in the main story. In other words, if you want to become overpowered first due to the difficulty of the Dejected Assailant boss, you can do that and then return to the time rift to save him.
