All Possible Crest Locations To Open Mage Towers In Nightreign

You can now experience a whole new world in Nightreign within the Elden Ring universe, where you can team up with friends to take down bosses and explore new regions. Besides fighting off enemies, you can also explore your new world to find secret puzzles. This guide will explain how to open Mage Towers in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Unlocking Mage Towers in Elden Ring Nightreign

Mage Towers can be found randomly while exploring the world of Nightreign. These towers are home to rare and exquisite loot, as long as you know how to unlock the tower itself. The only way to do that is to locate crests scattered across the area and break them. These crests can be found around the tower, or sometimes inside the tower as well. Below are all the locations you can check to find the crest and break it to reveal the entrance to the tower.

    • The easiest crest to find is right above the doorway. If you have a ranged weapon, you can shoot it down. Otherwise, you have to climb up there using the doorframe and hit it with your weapon.
    • If you notice a strange podium near the entrance, hit it with your weapon of choice and a crest will appear. Hit the crest to unlock the doorway.
    • While exploring around the tower, you might not find the crest in plain sight. Instead, the crest is hidden within an extension of the wall on the left of the tower’s exterior. Hit the wall and the crest will appear.
    • There is an odd chance that instead of an extension, you might find two tree saplings on the left side of the tower. The trees will sway rather oddly, just run between them to find and break the crest.
    • In case you find dead trees instead of living ones, hit the trees with your weapon and the crest will be revealed.
    • Sometimes, you might have to go to the right side of the tower instead of the left to find the crest. If you notice a pond near the tower, investigate it and hit the crest that appears in the water.

    • Some crests will be hidden within moving tree trunks. Once you spawn into an area with a Mage Tower, immediately look around to spot a moving tree and hit it before it runs away.
    • When you encounter a Mage Tower, you will notice no blocked doorway or doorways without a crest. You can run right through them, as the puzzle can be inside the tower.
    • Once inside the tower, quickly turn around and check around the pillars near the entryway. If you find an extinguished candle stand on the pillar, jump up there and light it to reveal the crest to break.
    • If the candle is lit, then explore the right side area near the painting to find an illusionary wall. Hit the wall to reveal the crest.
    • Some Mage Towers will have unique icons on the map, and these towers will have multiple crests to find in and around the tower. Some of these crests are riddled with traps, so do keep some healing consumables on you before you step foot here.
