Scavenging for resources and crafting items will be your core mechanics in The Last Caretaker. Some resources are easily accessible via dismantling, but others might be a bit hard to find. Such is the case with the Titanium and Carbon Fiber materials, which are required for several crafting recipes. This guide will detail how to get these materials in The Last Caretaker.
High-Tech Scraps Sources in The Last Caretaker

High Tech Scraps are mostly found after dismantling and recycling larger enemy machines and Angels. High Tech Scraps include Carbon Fiber and Titanium, which are a requirement for late-game boat upgrades. While the above objects are the main source of these materials, you won’t find them frequently during mid-game. Rather, you would come across these materials by dismantling bed frames that have screens on them, LCD monitors, and sharks.
The best place to explore and get these resources is at the Lazarus Complex. Head over to the main hall with the healing station and head up the stairs. Enter the room near the stairs to find a broken Angel and some high-tech monitors and tables that have a chance of dropping Carbon Fibers or Titanium. Do note that dead Caretakers will not drop High-Tech scraps after dismantling them, but some players did receive High-Tech Scraps from the more polished variants of Caretakers found in later levels.
How to Get Carbon Fiber and Titanium

You will get Carbon Fiber and Titanium by using the Dismantling tool on the object, then taking the scraps to the Recycler to get the raw materials. While you get the Dismantler early in the game, the Recycler only unlocks at Skill Tier 4. Luckily, your boat comes equipped with a basic Recycler, so take your scraps to it and assign the items to the machine after powering it up. Wait for a bit for the end materials to appear near the Recycler. You are now free to collect and use them for upgrading and crafting late-game items.
