Like most survival games, you will encounter enemies as you unlock new regions in The Last Caretaker. To defend yourself, you get an array of weapons to craft, but you need to unlock specific tier skills to find the blueprints. Also, not all weapons are created equally, and you might find one more powerful than the others. This guide will detail how to craft weapons and all weapons available in The Last Caretaker.

When you first start the game, you will get a crowbar to defend yourself. Later on, you need to work through the skill tree to unlock new weapons. The higher your skill level, the more advanced your weapons become, helping you fight tougher enemies in your journey.

Your first ranged weapon will be the Electric Pistol, which you unlock at Skill Tier 3. This weapon is easy to craft, as you just need one Alloy Frame, Battery Cell, Connector Ports, and Conduit Wiring each. But, as you advance through the game, you will require more complex items to create for advanced weapons. Let’s take a look at all available weapons in the game and how to craft them.

    How to Use Weapons

After crafting your desired weapon, drag it from your backpack and drop it into your Holster at the bottom of the inventory screen to equip it. The RMB lets you aim with the weapon, while pressing the action/interact button lets you shoot. Press G to inspect your weapon while it is in your hand, or press F to toggle between various ammo type for that particular gun. Inspecting your weapon allows you to change your weapon loadout if you have new attachments for it. If your gun offers different ammo types, then pressing F will help you switch ammo for your weapon.

There are two types of firearms in the game, divided into main and sidearms. That way, you get to craft and hold onto two different weapons at a time. If you have crafted better weapons, then your previous weapons can be stashed away in your inventory for later use.
