Scavenging items throughout the Lazarus Complex is essential for humanity’s survival in The Last Caretaker. One of these items is Plastic that isn’t readily available in the game. You need to unlock a few things, dismantle some objects, and recycle scraps to process them into Plastic. To make things easier, here’s how you can easily obtain Plastic throughout the Lazarus Complex in The Last Caretaker.

To obtain Plastic, you need to put Plastic Scraps, obtained from dismantling various items around the Lazarus Complex, into the Recycler in The Last Caretaker. The Recycler requires a power source, so you can either use your personal power to enable the Recycler before connecting to the main power, then use the main power. There are cables everywhere on the Lazarus Complex, so you’ll always have power to the Recycler. Use your own cables and power if you don’t have access to the main power to run the Recycler.

Finding Plastic Scraps around the Lazarus Complex is incredibly easy as well. All you need to do is use the Dismantle Tool to break down or dismantle objects into Plastic Scraps. Items such as Plastic Pallets, Boxes, Cones are a great source of Plastic Scraps. Use the Dismantle Tool to obtain Plastic Scraps, which can be further transformed into Plastic, thanks to the Recycler.

If you’re unsure of which item to dismantle, equip the Dismantle Tool from your action bar, then hover over objects all around the Lazarus Complex. In this way, you can view what each object can be broken down into and if they offer Plastic Scraps or not. Recycling Rubber Scraps, obtained through dismantling tyres using the Dismantle Tool, also has a chance to offer Plastic, so make sure you keep that in mind.

You will not have to wait too long to get your hands on the Dismantle Tool and the Recycler; these unlock pretty early in the game at levels 2 and 4, respectively. These are, in fact, two of the best skills to unlock first in The Last Caretaker.

The Dismantle Tool consumes your internal battery, so be careful when going off on a journey to find Plastic Scraps. You can reduce the timer and energy consumed by the Dismantle Tool by spending Enhancer Points on the Scrapper stat. Enhance Points are earned by completing quests throughout the Lazarus Complex and leveling up.

In conclusion, get the Dismantle Tool, dismantle objects to get Plastic Scraps and Rubber Scraps, then feed them to the Recycler to get more Plastic. That’s all you need to know about obtaining Plastic in The Last Caretaker.
