Nomad Idle introduces you to waves of enemies that may seem endless, and crafting new equipment is key to survival and slashing your enemies. You can start crafting new equipment the more you level up, and later on you can also upgrade your existing equipment to make it stronger. This guide will show you how to craft and upgrade equipment in Nomad Idle.

How To Craft In Nomad Idle

You unlock crafting at level 5 while completing the Glentwood Area. You will get an indication of your new crafting menu while completing the Better Equipped event. To start crafting, take a look at your hotbar on the left side. You will notice a sword icon, and hovering your cursor over it will read as Inventory/ Equip/ Craft. If it has a red exclamation mark, then you can start crafting a new piece of armor or weapon.

Click on the crafting menu and on the left you will see the items that can be crafted. If you have collected the required amount of materials, then the craftable items will have a white cloud moving back and forth. To craft the item, just select it with your mouse and it will automatically give you the weapon or armor. If you want to know what materials are required to craft any equipment, you can select the item and it will show you all materials required and materials you own currently on the central section of the crafting menu.

Upgrading items follows the same principle as crafting them. Head over to your crafting menu and select the weapon or armor with the white cloud, and it will automatically upgrade the gear to the next level. The more materials you get to gather, the faster you can upgrade your existing gear.

You can also see the upgrade stats of your new weapon in the central section, as well as the materials required to upgrade them. Upgrading weapons will improve the damage output and multiplier as well as increase critical hit chance. Armor upgrades will improve your max HP and defense, as well as increase your health multiplier.

    How To Get New Equipment

You unlock new weapons and armor the more you explore the stages and new worlds. During the start of the game, you will only have the Broken Blade and Leather Tunic. Keep progressing to unlock better equipment. But, you will also require better materials to craft the new equipment, and you can collect materials by defeating enemies within the area and get them as drops.

You can also check out our guide on how to upgrade stats in Nomad Idle to learn how to do that and improve your character.
