10 Best Cozy Games on Nintendo Switch 2

If there’s one thing Nintendo has always excelled at, it’s cozy games. The cozy genre has long felt at home on Nintendo consoles, and with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, that comfort-first approach feels more at home than ever.

From satisfying farm sims to cozy Nintendo staples, the Switch 2 has a ton of cozy games to spare. They’re not all console exclusives, but playing them on Nintendo’s newest console just feels better, somehow.

Whether you like slow and thoughtful cozy games or fast-paced and fun ones, there’s something for every type of gamer in the Nintendo Switch 2’s library. Here are the best cozy games currently out on the Nintendo Switch 2.

    10.

    Goodnight Universe | Psychic Babies

2025 | Nice Dream | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC

At first glance, Goodnight Universe sounds like the setup to something unsettling, and when I first saw it in the e-shop, I honestly thought it was going to be one of those weird indie horror games that are impossible to decipher.

After looking into it more thoroughly, however, I can safely say I’ve never been more glad to have been wrong.

Goodnight Universe is a narrative-driven adventure game where you play the part of Isaac, a baby with psychic powers. This might seem monumental for some, but to you, it’s just another fact of life, and all you really care about is being loved and supported by your family.

While psychic powers are hardly anything new to you, they’re everything to a certain mysterious tech corporation. This evil corporation will stop at nothing to obtain your psychic powers, and you’ll have to dodge them at every turn if you don’t want to be taken away from your family.

It’s cute, it’s emotional, and it’s just silly enough to keep that cozy mood cranked to eleven. If you want something cute and entertaining to curl up with on the couch, then Goodnight Universe should definitely be your next pick.

    9.

Two Point Museum | Museum Management

2025 | Two Point Studios | Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC

The “Two Point” game series has been entertaining gamers for years with its charming administrative chaos, and Two Point Museum builds upon its predecessors’ success with its very own unique, museum-themed twist.

In Two Point Museum, you’re tasked with curating and running a museum, from tracking down rare artifacts to designing exhibit layouts.

It’s a constant juggling act of managing customers, gathering donations, and keeping staff happy, but it somehow never feels rushed or stressful in the slightest.

As far as management sims go, it doesn’t get much better than Two Point Museum.

Everything in this game is an absolute delight, from designing the museum itself to keeping customers from climbing on the exhibits; if you love cozy games that let you sit down, relax, and pretend to have an entertaining career for an afternoon, then you’ve found the perfect experience with Two Point Museum.

    8.

Overcooked 2 | Cooking with Friends

2018 | Team17, Ghost Town Games | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC

Few cozy games manage to capture the joy of cooperative chaos quite like Overcooked! 2.

Just like its predecessor, Overcooked! 2 is a fast-paced cooking game about preparing meals under intense pressure, like if Chopped was hosted by Sanrio.

Whether you’re playing solo or teaming up with buddies, Overcooked! 2 turns frantic multitasking into a cozy, lighthearted experience impossible to take seriously, even when all of your pans are on fire and your teammate just threw a plate off the map.

This game is impossible to put down once you’ve started playing, encouraging “one more round” after another, until you’ve achieved master chef status in the eyes of the Onion Kingdom.

If you like cooking games that push you to the limit but make you laugh all the way there, then you should definitely consider adding Overcooked! 2 to your wishlist.

    7.

PowerWash Simulator 2 | Powerwash with Pals

    2025 | FuturLab | Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC

PowerWash Simulator was peak cozy-core back in 2021, and its sequel isn’t here to disappoint any longtime fans.

If there’s one game on the Nintendo Switch 2 that proves cozy doesn’t have to be synonymous with slow or sleepy, it’s this game.

Like its predecessor, PowerWash Simulator 2 challenges its players with cleaning absolutely filthy environments, turning run-down landscapes into spotless scenes straight out of a painting.

With nothing but your trusty power washer and your unsettling dedication to cleanliness, you and up to 3 of your friends are let loose into the world of PowerWashing Simulator 2, where anything and everything can be cleaned.

You’ll get to clean up old fun houses, shopping malls, roller rinks, and more, with each new location being more satisfying than the last.

Whether you’re blasting grime with friends or scrubbing solo, PowerWash Simulator 2 is the perfect game for when you want to turn your brain off but still feel productive.

    6.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure | Cozy Island Life

    2023 | Sunblink | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC

You can expect anything with “Hello Kitty” in the title to be cozy, but Hello Kitty Island Adventure takes the genre to a whole new level of relaxing.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is an open-world life sim whose coziness rivals genre-giants like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. It’s got everything you’d ever need in a cozy game: cooking, crafting, and ancient mysteries waiting to be solved.

This game drops you onto Friendship Island, a tropical paradise full of friendly faces ready to welcome you with open paws. You’ll get to explore the island at your leisure, diving into coral reefs and exploring ruins no other kitty has dared explore before.

If you’re looking for a game that literally feels like your childhood personified, then I am begging you to check out Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

I mean, come on, it’s literally called Friendshop Island. How can any self-respecting cozy gamer possibly refuse?

    5.

Dave the Diver | Sushi Bar Management

2022 | MINTROCKET, Nexon | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC

Management sims are staples in the cozy gaming community, and Dave the Diver is no exception.

Dave the Diver is the perfect combination of management and adventure, allowing players to explore deep oceanic mysteries by day and run a cozy sushi restaurant by night.

Spearfishing and customer service may not seem like two things that would go together, but Dave the Diver somehow just makes it work.

You’ll get to go deep-diving into the mysterious Blue Hole to discover its secrets, discovering new sea life and catching extraordinary fish. Whatever you catch will be what’s going on the menu for the night, however, so make sure you’re fishing wisely.

Despite juggling contrasting gaming systems, the gameplay in Dave the Diver is almost never overwhelming. The only thing you’ll be stressing over is what to make your Catch of the Day and how to decorate your sushi bar.

For management sim lovers and adventurous cozy gamers alike, Dave the Diver is the perfect choice.

    4.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time | Live 14 Different Lives

    2025 | Level-5 | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PC

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is one of those dangerously entertaining games that makes it way too easy to forget what you were supposed to be doing in real life.

As a self-proclaimed “slow-life RPG”, it allows its players to swap between 14 different “lives”, or personas, letting you decide exactly how you want to play every single time.

Feel like playing a farm sim? Just hop on into the Farming Life. Getting bored, and want to slay some monsters? Jump right into the Hunting Life and go wild. No matter what brand of cozy game you’re into, Fantasy Life i’s got your back.

This game never makes you feel like you have to lock into a single playstyle, so it’s the perfect game for people who can never decide what they want to play.

You’ll be playing this game for hours without ever getting bored with it, and even then, all you need to do is load into a new life, and the excitement starts right back up again.

If you’re one of those people who has dozens of games in their library and can never choose between them, you should definitely look into getting Fantast Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.

    3.

Kirby Air Riders | Race to the Top

I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a Kirby game that wasn’t cozy before, and Kirby Air Riders hasn’t broken that streak for me yet.

Racing games might not be the first thing that pops into your head when you think of “cozy”, but Kirby Air Riders definitely should be.

This game makes a hell of a case for cozy, low-stakes competition in racing form, and once you pick it up, putting it down is like pausing your favorite show right before the season finale. It’s always just getting to the good part!

With its bright colors, simple controls, and unmistakable Kirby charm, the game trades intense realism for fast-paced fun that’s easy to pick up and hard to put down; I don’t think I’ve ever come across a racing game more addictive than this one.

You can challenge yourself in single-player or ruin up to 4 of your friendships via split-screen co-op, or go for the big leagues and make up to 8 of your friends block you through local wireless mode.

And if you prefer trolling strangers on the internet instead, you can always load up City Trial and demolish up to 16 players at once.

Kirby Air Riders is guaranteed to be the coziest, most antagonistic game you play all year.

    2.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar | Cozy Farm Sim

2025 | Marvelous | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC

The Story of Seasons games (also known as the Harvest Moon games) have been entertaining cozy lovers for decades, and their latest release hasn’t left a single fan disappointed in the slightest.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is the ultimate cozy game for fans of games like Stardew Valley, Sun Haven, Animal Crossing, and more, with tons of crops to grow, animals to raise, and townspeople to befriend along your journey.

In Grand Bazaar, you’ll get to run your own homestead in the quiet community of Zephyr Town. Once a bustling bazaar full of goods from all around the world, it now sits empty, barely a single seller in sight.

It’s up to you to return this town to its former glory, one farmers’ market at a time. You’ll be in charge of setting up your own market stalls and selling your wares to the public, with every sale bringing you one step closer to your goal.

Running an entire homestead and a busy shop might sound like a tall order to fill, but it never seems to put a strain on Grand Bazaar’s gameplay.

Everything you do in this game is painted with a different shade of cozy, whether you’re milking cows or haggling with customers over watermelon prices.

If you’re a cozy fan, then Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is the game to get on Nintendo Switch 2; you won’t know what you’re missing until you do.

    1.

    Pokémon Legends: Z – A | Rediscover Lumiose City

2025 | Game Freak | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch

You can’t have a conversation about cozy games and not mention Pokémon. Few gaming franchises have defined the cozy genre quite like Pokémon, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A proves the series still knows how to deliver exactly what its fans want.

Set in the same, vibrant Lumiose city we were introduced to back in Pokémon X and Y, this game throws us into yet another wild ride through the world of Pokémon.

With your choice of either Chikorita, Totodile, or Tepig by your side, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city to its fullest, participating in real-time battles and discovering the secrets of Mega Evolution at its source.

The combination of modern gameplay and that timeless sense of adventure that Pokémon has always been known for is as addictive as it is cozy, making the game feel like the best version of your childhood game cartridges.

It’s approachable, it’s charming, and it’s guaranteed to be the coziest game you’ll ever play on the Nintendo Switch 2.
