Since FLi: The Girl Who Steals Time is an open world adventure, you will have several tasks to look into during your exploration. Farming and growing your own crops is one of the tasks you can pick up once you unlock the Farmer Life and purchase your first plot of land. There are different variations of crops that offer different crop yields, and the Boss Crops are the most difficult but also the most rewarding to grow. This guide will cover how to grow boss crops in Fantasy Life i.
Farming Guide in Fantasy Life i

Before you start your farming journey, you need to progress through the chapters till you can switch to Farmer Life. You can then visit Cooke to purchase various vegetable plots to start growing crops at your base. More plots can be unlocked as you keep playing as a farmer and leveling up. Then, head back to your base and set up your farming plot.
Each plot is 4×4, and you can only put a limited amount of plots in the beginning. As you complete more Guild tasks you can start placing more plots at your base with a max of 8 plots. If you wish to move or delete plots, speak to Cooke to do that.
Planting and Watering Seeds

Now, you need to get seeds and start planting, so visit Marco to get them. Again, ranking up in Farmer can unlock more seeds. To plant your seeds, stand on the squares within the plot and you will get an interact icon. Place the seeds and continue to move through the plot till the entire plot has seeds planted in them. Water your seeds frequently to make them grow.
It takes 30 minutes for a seed to mature, provided you keep your game running and checking into your farm. Water them a second time so they can evolve into their next stage. Failure to water your plants during the first and second stages will kill them, and you have to repeat the process again.
Identifying and Harvesting Boss Plants

As your new plants keep growing, you will notice a rare occurrence. Some of the plants will start sparkling, and these indicate a boss plant growing in your field. Boss plants are random occurrences, so you have to frequently farm your plots and grow seedlings into plants to get them. Once you spot a boss plant, leave it alone. Even if you get a harvest icon, don’t press the button.

Instead, water all the plots surrounding it and wait for all your plants to mature. After the 30 minutes is up, check around to see if all your crops are harvestable, or keep watering them till they are ready. Once you have completed the second watering, you will notice your boss plant has doubled in size. To harvest your boss plant, interact with it and you will notice red markers appearing on the floor around it.
You need to step on these red markers, charge up your harvesting attack, and hit it. Above the boss plant you will spot a meter. The harder you hit it, the more the meter will charge up, and the more rewards you can get. Press the R button to hit harder, but save your hardest hitting attack for when the meter’s needle falls on the final block to the right. Defeating the boss plant will automatically harvest every plant within the same plot, and you can get tons of random rewards too.
