What Does Golem Do in Grow a Garden?

Grow a Garden offers unique pets to keep in your garden and tend to them. Some of these pets even offer perks and boosts that affect how your garden runs. The Golem is a unique creature that offers something in return for keeping it in the garden. But the question remains: how do you get a Golem? Keep reading below to know how to grow a Golem and what it does in Grow a Garden.

You will require a Sprout Egg to hatch a Golem in Grow a Garden. The Sprout Egg is the latest addition in Grow a Garden’s Beanstalk Update, and the update has 5 new pets, including the Golem. The only problem with obtaining the Golem is that there is a 6% chance of getting it by hatching Sprout Eggs. Since the odds are so low, you might have to grind for these eggs and continuously hatch them to get the Golem.

To get a Sprout Egg, first, obtain a Beastalk, which is readily available from the update after contributing 900 points. Once the Beanstalk is planted and grown, do this process all over again to get an even longer beanstalk. Then, head all the way up and talk to the Giant at the top. This will unlock his store called Goliath’s Goods. Check the store for the Sprout Egg, which costs 1,500,000 Sheckles.

Another way to get Sprout Eggs is to pick up the green orbs while climbing the beanstalk. These give out random rewards, including the Sprout Egg. Although obtaining the sprout egg through this method is quite rare, you are much better off purchasing it from Goliath’s Goods instead.

    How to Use the Golem

The Golem’s unique trait is to reduce the Mutation Machine’s timer by 60 seconds. This occurs once every five minutes, helping you speed up the machine’s output. It usually takes one hour for the Mutation Machine to complete its cycle, so each time the Golem uses its ability, you get a 60-second reduction. While it doesn’t seem like a lot at the start, you will find some benefits along the way.

This ability of the Golem is especially helpful if you have several of them working in your garden. Depending on how many Golems you currently own, you get to reduce the machine’s timing to several minutes. There are two items to use that help speed up the Golem’s process. If you own a Nihonzaru, a Medium Toy, or a Small Toy, this reduces the cooldown time of the Golem while also adding a few extra seconds for its buff.

    • Using Nihonzaru
      • Cooldown: -6s.
      • Time Advanced: +3s.
    • Using Medium Toy
      • Cooldown: -80s.
      • Time Advanced: +8s.
    • Using Small Toy
      • Cooldown: -40s.
      • Time Advanced: +4s.

Grow a Garden’s features are a bit confusing for newer players to understand. Hence, why we have put up a guide on how trading works in the game. Check it out to know how to trade more efficiently in Grow a Garden.
