Palworld’s latest Home Sweet Home update is an exciting one, as it marks the addition of the ULTRAKILL collaboration, bringing iconic weapons and armors from the wildly popular old-school FPS.
Pocketpair has also introduced a new Raid Boss, Hartalis, and you need to be well-equipped to fight her. Trust me, her dual phases and a literal nuke attack are anything but easy to deal with.
To make your job easier and Pal-friendly, I’ve detailed all the materials you need to spawn Hartalis, as well as how to defeat her in Palworld.
How to Spawn Pal Hartalis in Palworld

To spawn Pal Hartalis in Palworld, players need to collect four Hartalis Slab Fragments, create a Hartalis Slab, and use it at the Summoning Altar .
Finding Hartalis Slab Fragments is the trickiest part, but there are a couple of ways to obtain them:
- Scorched Hill Cave: One of the locations where you can obtain some Hartalis Slab Fragments is the Scorched Hill Cave, found at coordinates -982, -1321, as shown in the image above. To enter this cave, head to coordinates -947, -1317 to find the entrance to the Crystallized Tunnel. At the end of the cave, you’ll find purple chests which contain Hartalis Slab Fragments.
- Sakurajima Enemy Bases: You also have a chance to find Hartalis Slab Fragments inside large chests located within the enemy bases on Sakurajima Island.
- Feybreak Dungeons & Expeditions: Exploring Feybreak Dungeons can also net you some Hartalis Slab Fragments in Palworld. If that’s not enough, purchase a Pal Expedition Station at your base and embark on Feybreak Expeditions, such as Ancient Feybreak Remains, to collect the Slab Fragments. However, this is recommended for players

After collecting all 4 Hartalis Slab Fragments, head to your Basic Workbench and create the Hartalis Slab. This may take some time, depending on the level of Handiwork. After you’re done with the process, head to the Summoning Altar and offer the Slab.
This will give you two options: whether to summon Hartalis at your base or at a different Raid Area. I’d recommend fighting the boss at a Raid Area, rather than bringing the fight to your turf. Remember, the Raid Area will disappear once Pal Hartalis is defeated, so collect all items inside.
How to Defeat Hartalis in Palworld
Pal Hartalis has two battle phases and a whopping health pool of over 900,000, so you need to bring your best Pals and your gear to the battle. I’ll dive into the two phases, along with which Pals have an advantage against the boss:
- First Phase (Water/Grass Dual-Type): For Pal Hartalis’ first phase, bring high-level Electric Pals such as Grizzbolt, Azurmane, and Orserk with high DPS. Her attacks are insane, so be on the move consistently. Periodically, she’ll charge up a barrier, so use Fire Attacks to break it. Once you’ve brought her health down to 1, she’ll regenerate, triggering Phase 2.
- Second Phase (Neutral Type): Finally, your Dark Pals will come in handy during Hartalis’ second Neutral phase. Use Pals like Shadowbeak, Incineram Noct, Pyrin Noct, or Necromus for this phase. During or at the end of this phase, Pal Hartalis will charge up “Purifying Light”, a nuclear attack with only a few seconds to take cover. Pack up your Pals and use your grappling hook to get behind one of the Stones immediately to avoid being one-shot.
Similar to other Raid Bosses, Hartalis will drop an Egg once defeated. Return to your base and hatch this Egg via the Egg Incubator to obtain a non-Raid Boss Neutral Type variant of Hartalis. Thankfully, this variant also has the nuke attack.
Hartalis Stats in Palworld

Here are the base stats for Pal Hartalis once you unlock her after defeating the powerful Level 65 Raid Boss:
- Type: Neutral
- HP: 135
- ATK: 130
- DEF: 110
- Work Suitability: Lumbering (Level 4) & Gathering (Level 3)
- Partner Skill (Sacred Barrier): While mounted, generates a barrier that blocks all attacks. Can triple jump when mounted.
To unlock Pal Hartalis as a mount, you need to unlock the Hartalis Saddle from the Technology Tree at Level 65 (5 Points), then craft it at your Basic Workbench with the following materials:
- x200 Paldium Fragments
- x100 Leather
- x40 High Quality Leather
- x40 Coralum Ingot
Fortunately, this isn’t one of those “boss during the fight, boss after you unlock them” cases where the playable variant is significantly weaker. Even as a non-Raid Boss, Hartalis is a solid Neutral Pal, even without our Grass/Water Dual-Type, and will be a great addition to your Palworld roster.
That covers everything you need to know about spawning and defeating Hartalis in Palworld. For more comprehensive guides on How to Use the Pal Surgery Table and How to Beat the Moonlord Raid Boss.
