Setting up an automatic door in your base in Once Human is a huge upgrade. But getting it to work properly is a lot easier said than done. Like most things, the wiring system and how to set up the automatic door aren’t explained all that clearly in the game. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered.
In this guide, we’ll break down all the things you need to do to craft automatic doors in Once Human and give your base the upgrade it needs. Let’s get started.
How to Make Automatic Doors in Once Human
In Once Human, making a fully functional automatic door system involves creating a whole electrical circuit with the Automatic Door Door, Camera, and Pressure Plates. Before you start, you need to have two skills, Solar Generator and Electrical Kit, unlocked in the Skill Tree. Here are the main things you’re going to need:
- Automatic Door
- Dynamic Sensor camera
- Switch
- Pressure Plate
- Wall Terminal
- Access to a Power Source
Getting your hands on these components is simple enough. But things get tricky when you start setting them all up.
Start by placing the Door where you want it at your base. Then, put the two Pressure Plates on the two sides of the Door, making sure the Pressure Plates are connected to the Door. Next, you want to put two Switches on opposite sides of the wall beside the Door.
With that out of the way, you need to connect the Switches to a Power Source using the Wall Terminals. Once you add power, make sure the Switch is turned Green. By default, it should be turned Red.
The next step is to connect your Switch to your Dynamic Sensor camera. Put two cameras on both sides of the Door with a clear view of the Pressure Plate, and connect the Dynamic Sensors to your Pressure Plates.
With that, the whole circuit is now complete. If the Switch is turned on and you’ve connected it to a proper Power Source, the Door will open for you whenever you step on top of the Pressure Plate. What makes things cooler is that it’ll only open for you and the players on your team. The Door won’t open for Deviants or players from a hostile enemy team.
While the whole setup can be tricky to pull off, it’s always worth crafting Automatic Doors to give your base that extra bit of flair. Not only does it look cool, but it also makes it faster for you to get in and out of your base.
