How To Wake Up Norvik Villagers In Dragon Quest 3 Remake

Dragon Quest 3 Remake is a retelling of the original Dragon Quest 3 video game. Long-time players would be familiar with the game’s storyline already, and you would have picked up similar quests and interacted with old faces while exploring the game. One of the locations that you will probably recognize is Norvik, and you need to go through the quest of waking up all the villagers and saving them. But this can get difficult as there are no clues on how to go about it, so it can be a bit confusing to complete this objective. In this guide, we have put up for you an easy way to save the villagers of Norvik in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.

You need to retrieve a special item and hand it over to the Queen of Faerie Village to help save the people of Norvik. The quest will take you to Norvik Village, Faerie Village and finally, an Underground Lake. Below are the steps required to complete the quest.

It is directly north of Romaria, northeast of Khoryv. Once you start exploring the northern parts of the continent, you are sure to run into the village of Norvik. You can just venture north from your hometown to find Norvik. What sets this village apart from the others is that you will find most of the occupants are fast asleep while standing up.

It may seem like a lost cause to find out what happened here, but there is still one lone survivor who can tell you about the harrowing tale of Norvik. Enter the house on the southwest side of the village and head up to the second floor. Talk to the Old Man up here and he will tell you about the Dreamstone that needs to be returned to the faeries.

After talking to the old man, you won’t get any info about the Dreamstone’s location or Faerie Village. To find Faerie Village, exit the village through the southern entrance and head west through the forest. Just follow the dirt path to reach Faerie Village. Head inside and talk to the Queen to learn more about the Dreamstone. You can also talk to the locals here to learn a bit more about the lore of what transpired in Norvik.

From Faerie Village, head west and follow the coastline south till you reach a cave called the Underground Lake. While exploring floor B1, you will encounter a Priest who will tell you to head down to the lower levels of the cave to find what you are looking for. Head down all the way to floor B4, the path is pretty linear so you won’t really get lost. If you reach a dead end, just backtrack where you came from. But it is worth exploring all the paths within the cave to get some loot.

At the end of the final floor is where you will find the treasure chest that is supposed to hold the Dreamstone. Not only do you get the Dreamstone, but you also find a letter inside from the Faerie Princess. The letter seems to be addressed to the Queen, so head back to Faerie Village and hand over the note and the Dreamstone to the Queen. In return, you can collect the Wakey Dust from her, head back to Norvik, and use the item on the villagers to wake them up.

Now that the villagers are awake, you can utilize the facilities within the village like the Store or the Inn. While this may seem like the end of this quest, there is still a lot more to do in the game like fight Roobin’ ‘Ood or Oorochi in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
