When you are looking to create a specific build that revolves around your class, gems can help you amplify your class attributes and make you stronger in the process. The Gemcrafting system in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is unique and can be a bit complicated. Here, we will break down everything you need to know about Gemcrafting in Blue Protocol Star Resonance.

WHAT IS GEMCRAFTING< AND HOW DOES IT HELP. IS THERE A LEVEL REQUIREMENT TO UNLOCK THIS? GEMCRAFTING MACHINE IS PREBUILT AND AVAILABLE IN HUB AREA?

Gemcrafting allows you to infuse gems in your gear to make them stronger. Each gem has a specific attribute boost; one gem might boost your Haste, another will increase Crits. To begin the process, you will need to talk to Hamilton, the Gemcrafting Mentor in the town, who will be next to the Gemcrafting machine. You can’t miss Hamilton, as he is part of the Learn about Gemcrafting quest that teaches you everything you need to know about Gemcrafting. The quest will lead you to Hamilton.

Interact with the Gemcrafting machine to start crafting gems from materials. You must unlock Gemcrafting and Gemstone processing before deciding to craft gems in Blue Protocol Star Resonance.

    Unlock Gemcrafting and Gemstone Processing

Open up the Menu, and select Life Skill, found at the bottom of the list. First, unlock Gemcrafting. Once you click on Gemcrafting, head to Mastery and unlock Gemstone Processing. Just add one point to Gemstone Processing to unlock it, and that’s it. DOES THIS REQUIRE ANY POINTS TO BE ALLOCATED?

    Steps to Gemcrafting:

Once you have the material, you can use it to craft gems for your item.

    • Once you click on the Gemcrafting option, you will see four gem types (WHAT TYPES, HOW ARE THEY IMPORTANT?) on the left panel and the crafting section on the right. Here is a brief look at all the gems available in the game and how they influence a specific attribute.
      • Ruby: Grants Crit attribute.
      • Sapphire: Grants Haste attribute.
      • Emerald: Grants Mastery attribute.
      • Diamond: Grants Luck attribute.

Note: Different builds require different attributes to strengthen them. Each class you choose will have favorable attributes; you can craft the gems that can influence your attributes and ignore the rest.

You will find the attribute details at the Class Selection screen found in the Menu. To find out your attribute details for your class, head to Menu and then Profile. Here, select the Class name, whether Marksman, Stormblade, or Heavy Guardian. You will see the attribute details on the right panel between the position and difficulty details of the class. Each class will have different attributes. For Frost Mage, you will see Intellect/Crit/Luck, but for Stormblade, you will get Agility/Crit/Mastery.

    • Select the gem type on the left, select the number of gems on the Quantity slider on the right, and then click on Start crafting. For example, Stormblade has Crit and Mastery attributes by default, which means we must farm Ruby (Crit) and Emerald (Mastery) to boost the default attributes of the Stormblade.

Note: The maximum amount of gems you can craft is four, which requires you to have 80 focus. Make sure to have enough focus for crafting.

Once you have crafted a gem, head to Gear Enhance Artisan (Usually found near the Gemcrafting machine), choose the option Embed to add the gem, whether Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, or Sapphire, to your item. Just select the item, choose the gem type on the right panel, and lastly click on Embed to install the gem to your item.

    Gemstone Farming

The Gemcrafting machine requires materials to craft gems, which we will get from Raw Ores (Focused) in the game. Here, we are going to cover the ways to get materials for crafting gems in the game.

Make your way to Gemology, found under Life Skills. Once you click on Gemology, you will see four options at the top of the screen: Focused, Regular, Mastery, and Rewards. The Raw Ore under the Regular don’t use focus, and the ones under Focused will make use of focus. We will use the Raw Ores found under the Focused for Gemcrafting.

Why use Focused? When we farm “Focused” Raw Ores, they will yield materials known as “Starlight” Materials. If it’s a Ruby Raw Ore, then it will have Starlight Ruby Materials; Emerald Raw Ore will have Starlight Emerald Materials, and the same rule applies for all four types of Raw Ores. We need these Starlight materials to craft gems.

WHAT IS THE TRADEOFF BUT? DOES FOCUSED PRODUCE BETTER GEMs?

    Unlocking Raw Ores and Tracking

But you will notice all the Raw Ore under the Focused are locked. In order to unlock them, head up to the Mastery option (on the right) and find Ruby Novice Mastery and unlock it to open Raw Ore of Ruby on the Focused tab. The same rule applies to all the Raw Ore found under the Focused section. If you want to use Raw Ore of Sapphire, then head to the Mastery tab and unlock Sapphire Novice Mastery to access Raw Ore of Sapphire on the Focused tab in Gemology.

Once you unlock a Raw Ore under the Focused category, you will see the option to track when you click on the gem. When you click on the track, it will direct you to the point in the map where you can farm that specific Raw Ore of Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald. After you acquire the material, head up to the Gemcrafting machine found in the town to start the crafting process.

This will open the Blue Protocol Star Resonance for more experimentation with different gems and how they suit a particular class.
