Sonic Racing: Crossworlds offers more than just racing friends across the tracks. There are a few features to unlock, which help make your gameplay experience more enjoyable. The Friendship system is, as the name suggests, it improves the bond with all your other characters. Unlocking Friendship in Sonic Racing: Crossworlds
Clearing all 7 Grand Prix tracks unlocks the Friendship feature. There are no catches for completing races for unlocking Friendship, as long as you clear the tracks and unlock all 6 default races, which automatically unlock the secret Egg Grand Prix. Clear that as well, and you will receive a notification giving you a brief introduction to the Friendship system.
This new feature adds a system where you need to scale up all character friendship levels to gain benefits. A character’s friendship level is increased by handing out Donpa Tickets, which are a form of currency in the game. If you are running low on Donpa Tickets, try participating in the game’s events and clearing all the tracks to collect more.
What Does Friendship Do?
Each time you increase a character’s friendship level, you unlock new cosmetic items like decals, skins, banners, and title cards. Some of the characters will also unlock new interactions each time you upgrade their friendship. Since the roster for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds is huge, you might need to run several races to collect the necessary tickets to unlock everything the game has to offer.
To know what character’s Friendship level is, if you select a character, check the heart beside their name. As you keep handing over tickets, the heart will fill up, and once full, you receive the reward mentioned on the right side, bottom of the screen. It also shows you how many tickets you require to unlock the next gift. The higher the friendship level, the more expensive it gets, so try to score Donpa Tickets by playing the game frequently and saving up.
