Once Human, a free-to-play open-world survival MMO, thrusts players into a post-apocalyptic world teeming with mutated creatures and challenging environments. Base building becomes a crucial aspect of survival, providing shelter, crafting facilities, and a sense of community.

Base building permissions are a key feature in Once Human, allowing players to collaborate with friends and Hive members while maintaining control over their creations. But how to give base building permission to others?

To give base building permission with friends, you must first create or join a Hive and invite them to join. Once they are in the Hive, you can manage their base building permissions through the Hive menu. In Once Human, you cannot directly give base building permissions to friends. Base permissions are primarily managed through the Hive system, which functions like a clan.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to give permission:

    1. Create or Join a Hive: Open the social tab (Esc key) and navigate to the “Hive” tab. Here, you can create a new Hive or join an existing one.
    2. Invite Friends: Once you’re in a Hive, you can invite your friends to join. Simply walk up to them in the game and a prompt to invite them to your Hive will appear.
    3. Manage Permissions: Open the Hive menu again and click on the member you want to grant permissions to. You’ll see three types of permissions:
      • Facilities Access: Allows them to use crafting benches and other interactive elements in your base.
      • Free Build: Gives them full building and editing access to your base.
      • Storage Privileges: Allows them to access storage containers in your base.
    4. Toggle Permissions: Toggle the desired permissions on or off for each friend.

And that’s how you can give base building permission in Once Human. Meanwhile, do check out our other guides on the game like how to complete A Miracle Chase in Once Human or how to get a motorcycle in Once Human.
