Black Myth Wukong throws several challenging boss fights your way, but at the same time, the game also has a lot of weapon upgrades, items, resources and spells that can make your character and build that much stronger to take on and defeat these bosses. One such spell is the Violet Hail spell, and in this guide, we have put up a step-by-step guide on how to get the Violet Hail in Black Myth Wukong.
Violet Hail Spell Location Black Myth Wukong
Violet Hail spell in Black Myth Wukong drops from defeating the Daoist Mi boss located in the secret Purple Cloud Mountain area, Chapter 4. However, to reach the area and access the boss fight, there are a set of steps to follow. Let’s look at those.
Steps To Get Violet Hail In Black Myth Wukong
- Unlock the secret Purple Cloud Mountain area in Chapter 4. This itself has a series of steps, and we have put up a detailed guide here.
- As you explore the area, you will come across a red snake NPC on a tree. Speak and exhaust her dialog.
- Progress in this area till you reach the Petalfall Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine.
- From the Shrine, take the path up, till you reach an NPC in blue robes in an open area.
- This will trigger a small cutscene, and the NPC will request you to get him the Violet Hail.
- This quest item is not a guaranteed drop, farm the yellow-robed enemies in the area and one of them will eventually drop this. You may want to check out our guide on the best gear to equip while farming in Black Myth Wukong.
- Once you get the item, return to the blue-robed NPC and hand it over.
- This triggers a cutscene, and to nobody’s surprise, a boss fight with the NPC who happens to be the Daoist Mi.
- This is a two phase fight, the first will be as he appears in the quest line, and the second phase will be in the half-human, half-monster form with poison-laced attacks.
- On defeating him, you will receive the Violet Hail transformation spell.
Important: If you complete the Weaver’s Needle quest (one of the four Vessels in the game), you will not be able to get this one through, so ensure you do this quest line first.
What Does The Violet Hail Transformation Spell Do?
The Violet Hail transforms you into a worm guai, making you immune to poison and gives you the ability to inflict the Poison Bane on the enemy with each attack. Poison Bane is one of the Four Banes (status effects) in the game, and once inflicted steadily decreases the health bar of enemies even when you are not attacking (or frantically dodging enemy combos).
And with that you are now equipped with the powerful Violet Hail in Black Myth Wukong! Also remember to do the questlines for the Man-In-Stone, and unlock the secret Zodiac Village for further upgrades to your build.
