This time, you are tasked with growing ‘Glimmering fruit’, and that requires a Glimmering Mutation to be put on your seeds and plants.
Best Way To Get Glimmering Mutation For Fairy Event In Grow A Garden
The easiest way to get Glimmering Mutation is from Fairies that will visit your garden for 10 minutes every hour during the ‘Fairies weather effect’. Once these fairies visit your garden, they will themselves apply the Glimmering Mutation on a few of your crops. I would also recommend that you upgrade the Fairy Godmother to improve upon this 10-minute duration, or get more fairies to visit your garden.
If you just missed the 10-minute slot, you can also check the map for certain fairies that are bound to be moving about. Approach and speak to them, they will make a beeline to your garden and apply the Glimmering Mutation on your crops even outside the 10-minute window.
You can get a Glimmering Mutation spray as well; this one instantly gets a Glimmering Mutation active on the crop to which you have applied the spray. The Glimmering Mutation Spray is obtained in two ways:
- either completing tasks at the Wishing Well, or
- crafting with 1 * Cleaning Spray, 1 * Daffodil Seed, 1 * Orange Tulip Seed, 1 * Mango, and 1M Sheckles.
The last way is to have the Glimmering Sprite pet with you; it has a chance to apply the Glimmering Mutation every 12 minutes to a few of your crops. You can accelerate this process and have it happen across a wider variety of crops if you have the Pet Mutation Shard ‘Glimmering’. You can use this shard to get a passive on one of your other pets as well, which then increases your chances to spread the Glimmering Mutation on your crops.
The last method is a bit of a circuitous route, as, for you to get a Glimmering Sprite as a pet, you need an Enchanted Egg. You get an Enchanted Egg by completing tasks first and then offering plants with a Glimmering Mutation at the Wishing Well.
The Glimmering Mutation is central to the entire Fairies event in Grow A Garden, as it helps you get those coveted Fairy Points that then gradually fill up the Fountain Meter. If you happen to give the exact plant asked for, the Fountain Meter gets filled up instantly, and you get rewarded with a Wish, which lets you pick from 3 randomized options.
