There are three new artifacts to add to your collection in the Nighthaven update for New World: Aeternum. Like all of the previous artifacts, you need to check certain locations, and might even have to fight enemies, just to get the new artifacts. If you wish to add these artifacts to your collection, then check out the guide below.

Completing level 65 and above Major Corrupted Breaches gives you a random chance of obtaining the Crescent Wave. The Crescent Wave Greatsword was included in the Season 9 Pass, but if you didn’t get it then, you can claim it now for free. This is entirely RNG, so you might have to run several high-level portals before you get your hands on it. The Greatsword is handed to you once the event is over, and isn’t found in the reward caches within the event itself.

    Crescent Wave Base Stats

    • Base Damage: 75
    • CRIT Hit Chance: 7.0%
    • CRIT Damage Multiplier: 1.25
    • Block Stamina Damage: 60.0
    • Stagger Damage: 60.0
    • Block Stability: 34%
    • Slash Damage: 221
    • Scales With: DEX 80%, STR 81%

The Incinerating Hatchet is included in the Season 10 free pass and unlocks at level 20. The Incinerating Hatchet is a great pick if you wish to use a ranged melee weapon. Using the throw option of the Hatchet can stack up explosions per hit and also increases DoT. Plus, you get an empty offense slot, which is a great way to increase the weapon’s damage.

    Incinerating Hatchet Base Stats

    • Base Damage: 67
    • CRIT Hit Chance: 8.0%
    • CRIT Damage Multiplier: 1.40
    • Block Stamina Damage: 30.0
    • Stagger Damage: 30.0
    • Block Stability: 21%
    • Slash Damage: 219
    • Scales With: DEX 75%, STR 75%

How to Get Contagious Plague in New World: Aeternum

The Contagious Plague bow is obtained by defeating the new Nighthaven World Boss, Uttu. The boss is located at Esagila in Nighthaven, and the nearest fast travel point is the Church of the Last Days. From the waypoint, travel south towards the spider lair to find the boss. Uttu is a level 70 boss, so you need to be level 65 and above to attempt to take it on. The Contagious Plague offers poison elemental damage, and also applies Weaken and Disease on targets hit. This weapon also offers a unique offense slot for added damage using charms.

    Contagious Plague Base Stats

    • Base Damage: 84
    • CRIT Hit Chance: 8.0%
    • CRIT Damage Multiplier: 1.30
    • Block Stamina Damage: 38.0
