Valheim is more than a crafting game, you also need to learn survival skills to make it out of there. Each time you explore a biome, you need to learn how to survive, get your base strengthened and defeat new enemies. In the Mistlands biome for instance, you will be met with a thick fog that obscures your view. The only way to get rid of it is to get yourself a Wisp Fountain, but the method of obtaining one isn’t detailed.

In this guide, we have detailed out how to get & craft a Wisp Fountain and what it does in Valheim.

    Valheim Wisp Fountain Crafting Materials

To craft the Wisp Fountain, you require the following materials first

    • 1x Torn Spirit
    • 10x Stone

How To Get Torn Spirit For The Wisp Fountain In Valheim

You obtain Torn Spirit in Valheim by defeating Yagluth in the Plains biome. To summon the Yagluth, collect Fuling totems and place them at his Forsaken altar in the Plains.

Defeating this boss is simple, as he has no legs to move around and only relies on his fists to hit you. You can quickly outrun him and shoot him down using your Draugr Fang bow and needle arrows. A Padded Armor is enough for your defense, so you are all set to beat him and get the Torn Spirit drop.

How To Get Stone For The Wisp Fountain In Valheim

You can find stone by defeating Greydwarf brute, Greydwarf, and Stone Golem; and also randomly by mining copper and silver ore.

Now that you have all the materials for the Wisp Fountain, head into your build and crafting section and select the hammer option. You have a new option to build the Wisp Fountain. Take the Wisp Fountain outside and place it out in the open.

You have to wait till it gets dark to use the fountain. Once it does get dark, you will receive a message that Wisps are on their way over. Wait for tiny blue orbs to gather around the Wisp Fountain, then go up to them and catch them. You can now gather Wisps this way to craft the next crucial item, the Wisp Light

How To Craft & Use The Wisp Light In Valheim

You require the Wisp Light to navigate the mist-filled biome of Mistlands. You need one Wisp and one Silver to craft the Wisp Light. Head over to any regular Workbench and craft this item, then place it on your belt accessory slot. Now you can easily navigate through the thicket of fog without the hassle of obscured vision. When not required, you can release your Wisp back into the wild or contain it within a building to use it later.

That’s all there is to know about getting the Wisp Fountain and using it to lure Wisps in Valheim.
