If you are looking for a way to save the damsel from distress in Gothic 1 Remake, then you must trigger the Bully for Bullit side quest. Here we get to beat up the big bad bully, Bullit, help out a kitchen maid, get some decent XP, and a pretty good weapon in the end.

I have put up here all the details – the location, the steps to complete the quest, and everything else you need to know for the Bully for Bullit quest in Gothic 1 Remake.

Bully for Bullit Quest in Gothic 1 Remake – How to start

Bully for Bullit quest goes under the side quest found in the Old Camp in Chapter 2. Make your way to the Old Camp, now head north of the area, marked on the map above, and you will come across a castle with two red banners on the front.

Note: The access to the castle stays locked until you make progress in the Admission to the Old Camp and finally get the permission to visit the castle from Diego and Throus.

    • From the entrance of the castle, turn right, and then make another hard turn to the left. Now go through the small door on the right. And you will find yourself in a small room with the woman, Syra, cooking in the cauldron.
    • Talk to Syra, but you will find her paranoid about her life. At first, she will refuse to address the problem, but as you start to leave, she will talk about Bullit, the warder. Long story short, she will talk about Bullit being brazen about his advances on her.

Bullit Location in Gothic 1 Remake

Head to the tavern around the castle area in the evening to find Bullit. Wait for him to leave the tavern with a drink in his hand. He will be fully sloshed and can barely walk. Now we enter a trailing mission where we follow Bullit until he leaves the castle area through the inner gate.

Note: You can beat Buillit inside the castle, but you will get attacked by other guards at the spot. That’s why we are going to take the fight somewhere empty and safe.

Once Bullit is outside the castle, talk to him, right in front of the inner gates. You are probably aware at this point that talking is not going to get you anywhere, so choose to attack him.

Just simple dodging and attacking will easily put him on the ground. The difficulty of the game will influence the damage you will take from his hits, but he doesn’t have any special attacks, so keep hitting him until his HP bar is out of red.

After beating him, you can loot his body to get x25 Ore Nuggets, a Battlesword, Light Crossbow, Torch, Bolts x17, and some food. You will also get 120 Experience for knocking him out.

Completing Bully for Bullit & Rewards

After defeating him, talk to Bullit to leave Syra alone. Now head back to Syra, she will be in the same location, in her room next to the castle. If she is not on the bottom floor, take the ladder, near the entrance of her room, to get to the upper floor.

Talk to Syra and let her know that the problem with Bullit has been fixed. She will then talk about fleeing to the Swamp Camp for a better life. After talking to her, the Bully for Bullit quest will be completed, with you getting 500 Experience points.

Tip: If you have the Double, Double side quest (Side quest, Chapter 2, Old Camp) active, then you can ask for Syra’s popular stew recipe and hand the recipe to Snaf, a common citizen of Old Camp, to make progress in the quest.
