Dragon Quest VII Reimagined – How to Construct the L’Arca Tablet

The L’Arca tablet is a great example of how Dragon Quest VII Reiamgined doles out its Fragments over time, requiring you to progress through multiple other islands to gain access. We’ll be going over exactly where to find each fragment to complete the full Tablet.

    L’Arca Tablet Fragment One

The Golem boss in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined

The very first Tablet Fragment is earned as a reward for killing the Golem guarding the entrance to the Tower in Ballymolloy. The Golem is mandatory to clear Ballymolloy, and suffers from a serious fire weakness.

    • Focus on buffing Maribel and Kiefer and keeping their MP up. At these low levels, Kiefer has very limited mana.
    • Frizz and Flame Slash do wonders to take the Golem down, especially if you’re willing to stock up Worked Up states.

Once the Golem falls, you’ll earn the first Fragment for the L’Arca Tablet!

    L’Arca Tablet Fragment Two

The Second L'Arca Fragment in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined

The second L’Arca Tablet Fragment is earned on Ballymolloy’s present island form, with the same NPC from whom you earn the password to the Rainbow Mines. Head to the Ballymolloy village at the center of Ballymolloy Island, entering the two-story house in the center of the town.

Interact with the NPC inside and answer no to his question, earning not only the password, but also the second Green Fragment to unlock L’Arca. That’s half of the Green Fragments required, only two left to go.

    L’Arca Tablet Fragment Three

The Glowering Inferno's Fight in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined

The third Green Fragment pulls us away from Ballymolloy, instead moving over to Emberdale. To earn the Fragment, you’ll need to put a stop to Glowering Inferno at the center of the Burnmont Volcano.

We have a full guide on clearing the Emberdale quest, but for some tips in general…

    • Abuse elemental weaknesses against the monsters as you descend.
    • Stick to the western stairs as you descend to find your way to the boss.
    • Don’t be afraid to spend an item or two to keep the team healthy.

The Glowering Inferno himself is the biggest challenge, with some serious party damage that he can dish out, and has no weakness you can spam out. Luckily, he’s not resistant to any physical damage, and the Hero can use Aqua Slash to implant a Lightning weakness for Kiefer to exploit.

Once you clear the fight, head back to the surface and speak with the old seer, who will offer you the third Fragment as a reward for your hard-fought battle. That leaves one Fragment left to find!

    L’Arca Tablet Fragment Four

The shop housing the last L'Arca Fragment in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined

The final L’Arca Fragment is found in the present version of Emberdale, northwest of Estard Island. Once you arrive, return to Emberdale village and head to the shop. In the corner of the old seer’s section, the Fragment will be waiting on the ground.

With all four collected, return to the Shrine of Mysteries and interact with the leftmost green pedestal to repair the Tablet. You’ll now be able to travel to L’Arca, a whole new island that needs your help.
