While exploring Lokitana in Demon Tides, you will likely happen across the Sunken Neighborhood, one of the largest and most confusingly laid out areas in the whole game. It contains a bunch of gear fragments, and finding them is only half the battle.
Getting to these fragments can be as much of a puzzle as locating them in the first place, and on top of it all, Mr. Mint is here to ruin everyone’s day. It should be noted that doing Mr. Mint’s challenge deletes your checkpoints and resets your gear fragments, so don’t do that until you’re done with everything else.
I’ll be running through how to get all the gears, chests, and quests here, but not the Eyetems, as you have the B button for that.
Gear Piece #1

Starting from the default checkpoint, we start on our path through the Sunken Neighborhood by heading North, jumping up some disappearing platforms to ascend. Dash into a crystal to cross a gap, then jump onto a missile, which will take you over to the northwest.
Wallrun up the building, and hit the rope shortcut you’ll find next to the grating here. From this platform, dash-jump off to the building to the East, where you’ll find a gear, then get back to the building with the rope shortcut.
Gear Piece #2

From this building with the green flag shortcut, jump onto the missile and use the momentum from it to leap across the metal bar, onto the next building. From here, head left, hit another rope, and start on your way forward.
Across the floating, spinning platforms, carefully jump your way to the building, which contains an open room with the gear piece contained inside. From there, ride the rail, and it will take you to a wooden platform with a prime opportunity for another gear.
Gear Piece #3

Of all of them in the Sunken Neighborhood, this Gear Piece is likely the easiest. From the platform the previous rail put you on, jump on the rail in front of you to head up to another building. Sideflip onto the spinning plus-shaped platform, then jump to the gear on the wooden platform.
Chest #1

From the previous gear piece, jump across the Sunken Neighborhood’s copious spinning platforms, then wall run up the disappearing walls, and you’ll find a conveniently unlocked chest with a Talisman that isn’t very good, but certainly counts for completion.
Gear Piece #4

From the chest, go forward, side flip onto the disappearing wall in the sky, and quickly wall run across each set of disappearing platforms, making it to the other side with another rope to let down. I’d recommend checkpointing here, as you’ll need to backtrack a bit after getting this piece.
Jump across the missiles by dashing off each one, delaying your jump a bit so you get as much speed as possible. Past the Lokian, just kind of standing there, you’ll find your next gear piece inside the room, and be able to get back instantly by going to your checkpoint.
Gear Piece #5

Back on the red flag platform, head down to where we started this run in the first place, and get back to the crossroads where you rode the missile. Dash jump off of it towards the other buildings in front of you, and you should be able to grab this gear with ease.
Mr. Mint

Now that you aren’t in the middle of getting the longest Sunken Neighborhood quest, go back to the red flag building, go across the floating platforms, and fall into the hole in the tower, where you will find the devious, dislikable Mr. Mint, and he has a portal to the Neon White-looking dimension.
Stand on the ring to accept his challenge for 100 Eyetems, something you probably have by now from exploring the rest of the Sunken Neighborhood. The not Time Rift contained inside isn’t too hard if you wait patiently before jumping from moving platforms, and your reward is the last chest, containing a cool Paraglider.
