Deltarune Chapter 5 – Secret Egg Room Location

Among Deltrarune’s most esoteric collectibles are the Eggs, a series of strange, literal eggs that are found in strange spots that feel like breaking the game. Luckily, Chapter 5’s is a bit easier to parse, so let’s take a look at exactly where to find it!

Finding the Start – Cliffside Shop

To start your path towards the Egg, head right from the Cliffside Shop, where you can buy the Mysterious Key. You’ll find a patch of wheat hiding a few Kawkaws. Handle them, and you’ll find a torii gate you can dash through to take on a Tropical Starwalker.

Once you make it through, turn around and repeat the dash minigame until you trample all the wheat. Once you do, a patch will keep popping back up in the dead center of the track. Trample it 5 times, and a balloon will spawn, floating leftwards.

Follow the balloon to the left and you’ll enter a very different room with just Kris, right in front of the Egg puzzle!

Make sure not to leave before securing the Egg! Leaving the room will force you to reload your save to enter it again, so be careful! You’ll find yourself in a room with 6 flowers and the Annoying Dog tied to a balloon, moving between each.

Make note of the pattern as he moves to each. You’ll need to copy it to unlock the watering can in the center of the room. The pattern is random every time you enter the room, so try and get yours eyes on him ASAP.

Once you complete the flower puzzle, you’ll need to water the wilting plants to the left of the area. Whenever you try and grab the watering can, the Annoying Dog will chase you and put it back, so wait until he’s tending a flower on the right side of the stage to make your move.

    The Final Egg

Proceed down the newly opened left path, and you’ll find a hidden room almost identical to the one in Chapter 1. Walk around the tree and interact with the Man hidden behind it for the Egg.

He’ll trail off, and you’ll be prompted to ask for more. The following dialogue will let you know if your file has all the previous Eggs. If you do, the Forgotten Man will tell Kris this is their final meeting before vanishing. If you missed any, he’ll point out a few trees you missed.

The true purpose of the Eggs is currently totally unknown, but the finality of this secret makes them feel far more relevant than ever before. Make sure you nab them before Chapter 6’s release, hopefully in the near future!
