At this point in Deltarune, players are smart to expect a couple of consistent secrets. An Annoying Dog cameo, an Egg, and most importantly of all, a Secret Boss. These Secret Bosses include some of the most engaging battle Deltarune has to offer, as well as great additions to the story.
Let’s go over Deltarune Chapter 5’s Secret Boss location, a quick rundown of what you’ll need, and how to prepare!
Continue the Climb

The start of this Secret boss comes very late in the chapter. The side route towards the boss comes after Green’s pop-up shop during the final ascent to the top of Flower Castle. If you have the warp doors unlocked, start at Green’s Shop and head to the highest part of the platforming gauntlet found to the right.
Once Ralsei casts a spell he’s only alluded to during a cutscene, hop up and take a left rather than continuing right. From here, bounce on the blue rose launchers to avoid falling into the brambles. Once you’re halfway across you’ll be able to drop down via some platforms.

Windborn Descent

At the bottom of the fall you’ll find a strange monster wandering towards a giant pinwheel. Use the ACT menu to start the pinwheel, kicking up wind and starting a slow descent through brambles and gunfire.
Aim for the blue roses and slash through to create openings while avoiding the damaging pink brambles. Halfway down, Yellow will start using mounted guns to fire at Kris. Pass through the circular projectiles to safely continue the descent.
If you can’t make it to the center of a projectile, try to fit in the space between the circles. There’s enough room to make careful maneuvering safe, as long as you keep the wind effect in mind.
Make it all the way down and you’ll find a pink doorway locked tight alongside a warp door. This door will be a trial to open, though you may have already made some progress towards cracking it.
Unlocking the Pink Door

The Pink Door requires the Mystery Key sold by the Cliffside Shop. To buy it, you’ll need 10 Pink Coins from among the 19 you can find throughout the chapter. These Coins are all over the place, hanging in plain sight, as rewards for other mini quests, and even sitting in chests.
Once you’ve amassed at least 10, snag the key from the Cliffside Shop and return through the warp door. After a short cutscene you’ll find a save point and a path leading to the right. That path leads to the Chapter 5 Secret Boss, so only head through once you’re prepared.
Preparing For the Secret Boss

Generally, focus on stocking your inventory with powerful healing items and any ReviveMints you may still have. If you’re aiming for Secret Bosses, you’ve probably already used quite a few of them. Luckily, Ralsei’s Revive Song spell does wonders to keep the party on their feet. Green’s GreenTea heals a very handy 180 HP per use, so stock up if you’ve got open slots.
Focus on maximizing the TP you can make with Armor like the Ribbons that grant you extra Graze Area. You can craft a very useful piece of Armor that lowers the Cat damage the wearer takes, but since the only opportunity to craft it is at the very start of Chapter 5, don’t plan on having it unless you’re really struggling to take the boss down.
Otherwise, general Deltarune advice persists for tough fights. Don’t panic, focus on keeping the party healthy, and don’t forget to use Ralsei and Susie’s unique ACTs. Each fight gives them unique properties, and here they’ll gain extra TP for the turn. A massive boon for the fight’s central mechanic.
