On the daunting mountain, Kami, pitons are one of your few lifelines that the player has preventing them from becoming a red splat on the ground. However, if you don’t place them carefully, they will break and need to be prepared at a rest stop later.
The only way to avoid this is by finding Troglodyte Pitons, unbreakable variants of which there are three. The Child Piton is a tricky one to find, and The Ancient Piton is arguably the most evasive of the three. But, the secret Piton certainly lives up to it’s name as well.
That said, we would never allow you to go without, so to help you complete your set, here is the location of the third Troglodyte Piton in Cairn.
Where Is The Third Troglodyte Piton In Cairn?

To reach the Troglodyte Piton known as The Secret, you’ll need to ascend until you reach the scene where Marco is no longer at your camp when you wake up, as he’s made his way toward The Blades alone.
From here, you’ll want to clamber up the mountain face before you, and you’ll eventually get to a crack between two peaks in the mountain where you’ll be able to enter. Above is Rody and Johanna’s Kite if you want to make a little detour.
Along the way, you’ll encounter the Hygrocybe Rubescens, a funny little Salamander tied to a different achievement. If you see them, you’re on the right track.

The bottom layer of this cave has some interesting stuff, such as some Fireworks if you missed the chance to fire them off earlier in the game. But you’ll want to climb a little higher, because on the top layer of this cave, you’ll find a rock cabin of sorts, which houses an opening in the cliff.
Walk through and you’ll access a glowing green room that plays host to the Mini Kami sculpture, which you can earn a trophy by climbing, but your true reward for discovering this hideaway is off to the left.

Statues align the circumference of the room, but only one is not holding a glowing crystal. Which is because sitting, waiting for you to pick it up, is the third and final Troglodyte Piton.
