The Proto-Amourworm drops as a Key Item on defeating the Elder Amourworm located in The Webbed Hollow in Chapter 4.
- Start from the Verdure Bridge Keeper’s Shrine.
- Follow the path till you come to a right that takes you into an open area.
- This kicks off the fight with the Elder Amourworm.
How To Get The Elder Amourworm Spirit In Black Myth Wukong
To get the Elder Amourworm Spirit, you need to have unlocked the Zodiac Village hub in The Painted Realm. You can refer to our detailed guide on this topic here. Once this part is done, follow these steps to unlock the Elder Amourworm Spirit in Black Myth Wukong:
- Talk to Chen Loong in the Zodiac Village with the Proto-Amourworm in your inventory.
- An option to Deliver Proto-Amourworm will appear, select that.
- Chen Loong will ask you to keep this with him as he is eager to study the Proto-Amourworm in detail.
- Rest at the Shrine nearby, and you will now see the Proto-Amourworm nestled just outside the area where Chen Loong sits; with an option to Feed it.
- The Proto-Amourworm only feeds on Rice Cocoons, and you will need 3 of these.
- Rice Cocoons can be obtained by destroying the cocoons in the Webbed Hollow region – around Verdure Bridge, Middle Hollow, and Cliff Of Oblivion.
- Take these to Chen Loong, and feed them to the Proto-Armourworm. It will take only 1 Rice Cocoon at a time, so rest at the Shrine to reload the area and then feed it.
- Once you have fed the Proto-Amourworm all 3 Rice Cocoons, when you approach it the next time after resting at a shrine; you will see the Spirit hovering above the area where it was before.
- Approach it and absorb the Elder-Amourworm Spirit.
What Does The Elder-Amourworm Spirit Do?
The Elder-Amourworm Spirit is a unique and powerful spirit that is obtained after feeding 3 Rice Cocoons to the Proto-Amourworm harvested at the Zodiac Village.
Active Effect: Slam down on the ground to cause a poisoning AOE effect. The slam leaves pools that stack up the Poison Bane – one of the four Banes in Black Myth Wukong.
Passive Effect: Increases Critical Hit chance when poisoned. The Poison Bane causes a gradual depletion of the health meter, so this is a high-risk high-return kind of benefit that suits an aggressive gameplay.
