Learning the best ways to farm Amber in Beast of Reincarnation isn’t an option; it’s essential for survival. That’s because it’s the game’s main currency, and you’re going to need tons of it to purchase items from traders, upgrade your gear, and keep progressing through this post-apocalyptic world.
Typically, you will find Amber in chests during your journey, but I’ve found that there are several other methods to obtain the currency. Here are some of the best ways to get more Amber in Beast of Reincarnation.
Best Ways to Farm Amber in Beast of Reincarnation
One thing you should keep in mind is that if you pre-ordered Beast of Reincarnation, you will automatically start the game with 30,000 Amber. If you picked up the Deluxe Edition, you’ll instead kick off with 100,000 Amber alongside additional bonuses.
However, not everyone got these bonuses, so, here are some of my personal favorite strategies to farming Amber in Beast of Reincarnation:
1. Look for Amber Butterflies
One of the best ways to gather Amber in Beast of Reincarnation is undoubtedly with the help of Amber Butterflies. These golden butterflies can be easily found while exploring the world, traveling between locations, and completing missions.
Once you’ve located one, all you need to do is interact with it. There’s no set amount of Amber you can obtain, but if you make it a habit of collecting every butterfly you come across, it will add up quickly.
2. Harvest Amber Plants/Corals
As I was adventuring, I also came across glowing plants and corals throughout various regions of the map. Just like Amber Butterflies, interacting with these rewarded me with Amber. They’re fairly common, so make sure to take just a few seconds to collect them whenever you come across one.
3. Selling Items
While you’re playing the Beast of Reincarnation, you’re obviously going to collect a lot of different items, and not all of them will be useful. Luckily, instead of letting those items gather dust in your inventory, you can exchange them for Amber.
To do this, head back to your base and interact with Brad. Choose the option to Trade, and you will be able to sell unwanted items for Amber. It’s a simple way to make profit off your spare loot.
4. Defeat Enemies
Each region in the game is filled with enemies and powerful bosses that are waiting to be taken down. You are going to need the right combination of weapons, skills, and attributes to deal with these threats. Once you’ve managed to wreck them, you’ll be rewarded with various items, and one of those is often Amber.
So if you’re ever low on Amber, just go and kill some enemies, you’ll soon earn a decent amount.
5. Strongboxes
Strongboxes are basically treasure chests. These are packed with various rewards such as Ancient Book, Recovery Tonics, Memory Chip, and Amber. Finding and unlocking them is one of the best ways to farm Amber in Reincarnation.
However, keep in mind that some of these Strongboxes require a particular key or code to be opened. Each Strongbox has its own unique solution.
6. Koo
Koo isn’t just a cute dog companion in this game. Besides helping you out by taking whatever stands in your way, he can also collect items while you’re doing other tasks. So, whenever you get the chance, take a trip to the Cleanse Waker. Here you can have a conversation with him and obtain whatever Amber he’s found. Make sure to also increase your rapport with him, as doing this will help you get additional skill slots, which will make Koo even more useful.
