Beast of Reincarnation – How To Reset Your Skills and Attributes

Beast of Reincarnation is an RPG with Soulslike elements, and getting your head around all the systems can be complicated at first. You’re likely to pump some skill points into certain things only to realize later you’d prefer to commit to a different build or playstyle. While buildcrafting in Beast of Reincarnation isn’t as deep as games like Elden Ring, the adventure still invites players to create their own, unique Emma (like this Thunderwave build we conquered end game with)

So if you’re a few hours into Beast of Reincarnation and want to start again with your skills and attributes for both Emma and Koo, here’s what you need to do to reset your skills and attributes.

To reset your skills and attributes in Beast of Reincarnation, you’ll first need to make it to Chapter 2 of the game’s story. The good news is this only takes a couple of hours of playtime, and your build doesn’t matter a huge amount during this time. So familiarize yourself with the mechanics and don’t worry too much about your build yet. In fact, it may pay to try out a few different skills and styles during this time.

During Chapter 2, you’ll meet an NPC called Mikoto and recruit him as an ally. He’ll reward Emma with some skill points for your trouble, but his real value comes later. Once you return to the Cleanse Walker you’ll be able to contact Mikoto on the communicator device.

When doing so, Mikoto will offer to reset your skills and attributes (for both Emma and Koo), but at a cost. For the price of 1600 Amber, Mikoto will reset all your skills and attributes, allowing you to reallocate them to something else.

If you don’t mind paying the money, this is a great way to try out different builds. However, it’s also an expensive way to play, so we found it was better to pick a build and stick to it. Of course, if you’re not feeling it, then sure, pay Mikoto and try another one; just remember, this is eating into your amber supplies, so resetting your skills is something you should only do sparingly. You can also check for the best ways to farm amber in Beast of Reincarnation.

By endgame, you’ll probably have plenty of amber to spare, so then you can go crazy if you really want. Or you could even take the opportunity to change your builds before attempting a New Game Plus run – and yes, Beast of Reincarnation does indeed have a New Game Plus option once you’ve completed the story and are ready to move on.
