There are several side quests that you can pick up while adventuring out in Avowed. Some of these side quests will continue even after you reach the next regions, and such is the case with the Mapping the Living Lands side quest. In this quest, you need to help Sanza locate all the Cartographers in all the regions, and you are just given certain hints about their whereabouts. In this guide we will detail where to locate all 4 Cartographers in Avowed.
All Cartographer Locations Avowed
The four zones that you need to explore to collect all the Cartographer loot are at Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusk. We have already covered the cartographer location in Dawnshore, so we will move on to the rest of the regions and where you need to go. As usual, you can always pick up the quest from Sanza’s Emporium in Paradis Hightown, Dawnshore.
Unlocking each of the regions will help you get to the next part of the questline, and completing it will give you some rewards. You can also start and complete this side quest without Sanza’s help, if you have already discovered the cartographer during your exploration.
Mapping The Living Lands Emerald Stair Location
For this particular cartographer, it is recommended that you explore more of the Emerald Stair map before you head over to the cartographer’s location. The cartographer’s body can be found at Naku Tedek Grounds at the southern section of the map. This area is filled with higher level enemies, so it is best to continue with your main story quest and you will ultimately be led here.
Once you have the Naku Tedek Party Camp unlocked, head south towards the marked location. Follow the dirt path that leads downwards towards the southwest and go left past the graveyard that appears on your right. You will find the cartographer’s body slouched over beside a rock, and you can pick up Fleccia’s map beside the corpse to hand over to Sanza.

Mapping The Living Lands Shatterscarp Location
You can find this cartographer in the southern section of the Great Sand Sea. From the Sand Sea Oasis beacon, head south towards the marked location. You will come across a large boulder that stands up like a pillar. From there, continue southeast while hugging the edge of the cliff till you find the cliff extending out on your right. Cross the bridge to find Wilfrith’s Map.

Mapping The Living Lands Galawain’s Tusk Location
For this particular cartographer, all you need to do is head over to Solace Keep. You can find Solace Keep if you head north from the party camp of the same name. There is an area called Soreena’s Mercy, head inside the building, go up the stairs, and talk to the prisoner located inside the last cell.
This cartographer is alive, and you can talk to him to pick up the last map. You also get a choice here to either set him free or keep him imprisoned, depending on what you felt about his antics while listening to his story. Either way, return to Sanza with your findings to get your rewards.
