Black Myth Wukong is filled with a huge number of challenging boss fights, and you will need all the help in terms of upgrades that you can get your hands on. The Luojia Fragrant Vine helps upgrade the number of uses of your Healing Gourd and – goes without saying – is probably one of the most important resources to explore and find. In this guide, we have put up the locations of all 15 Luojia Fragrant Vines to fully upgrade the Old Gourd. This is incidentally also required to get the Supreme Gourd, complete the Old Man questline, and unlock the ‘Always Accompanied’ trophy.
Luojia Fragrant Vine: Chapter 1 (1)
This one is located near the tree right behind the Marsh Of White Mist Keeper’s Shrine.
Luojia Fragrant Vine: Chapter 2(2)
- Start from the Windrest Hamlet Shrine, take the path on the right, and on the left just before the gate will be the second Luojia Fragrant Vine.
- Start from the Windseal Gate, turn left, and continue on the path ahead to spot the third Luojia Fragrant Vine.
Luojia Fragrant Vine: Chapter 3(4)
- Purchase the fourth Luojia Fragrant Vine from Shen Monkey just after starting Chapter 3 for 2000 Will.
- Start from Outside The Wheel Shrine, turn right, and take the stairs till you arrive at the pond; and the fifth Luojia Fragrant Vine will be to your left.
- Start from the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Shrine, turn right, and proceed towards the snowy coast past the skeletons strewn around. Continue on the path up the stairs till you come across a gate on your left. Enter the open area to see the sixth Luojia Fragrant Vine hanging from the tree straight ahead.
- While this is a long path, it is a pretty straight one. Start from the Longevity Road Shrine, turn left, and head down till you see a path. Stay on the path and you will come across stairs. Take those and keep going straight till you see a gate followed by stairs. Take those and at the very end of the path following those stairs will be the seventh Luojia Fragrant Vine.
Luojia Fragrant Vine: Chapter 4 (5)
- Purchase the eighth Luojia Fragrant Vine from Shen Monkey after starting Chapter 4 for 3000 Will.
- Start from The Verdure Bridge Shrine and jump down into the cobweb-filled open area. Continue on the path to spot the Luojia Fragrant Vine hanging from a tree a short distance ahead to the right.
- The next vine is also located in the Webbed Hollow region. Start from the Cliff of Oblivion Shrine this time, continue on the path ahead, and jump onto the giant hand that acts as a bridge. Jump down and take a right. Continue on the path and you will come across a narrow bridge with criss-crossed chains. After crossing the bridge, keep going straight to arrive at a narrow path filled with spider sacs that opens up into a forest area with the Luojia Fragrant Vine straight ahead.
- This is an easy one and is located right behind the Mountain Trail Keeper’s Shrine.
- This one is located in a secret area in Chapter 4 – the Purple Cloud Mountain. Read our guide here if you need help reaching this place. Start from the Valley of Blooms Shrine, cross the bridge, and take a right. Continue on the path ahead to spot the next Luojia Fragrant Vine.
Luojia Fragrant Vine: Chapter 5 (3)
- This one can be purchased from Shen Monkey at the beginning of Chapter 5 for 6000 Will. He will either be at the Marsh Of White Mist; or at the secret NPC hub Zodiac Village if you have unlocked it.
- Start from Height Of Ember Shrine, turn left, and continue straight ahead till you see a small gate down on your left. Pass through the gate and keep right till you see a small bridge; cross that and you will see the next Luojia Fragrant Vine hanging from a tree in the distance.
- Start from the Fallen Furnace Crater, turn right, and continue on the path; till you come to a fork on the road. On the left, you will see a fallen tower – take that left and you will spot the final Luojia Fragrant Vine to be collected in the game.
